Perfect pool
I used floc the night before. It dropped some... Not even half the algae and stuff. I bought this and it was a million times better. Only used half the recommendated amount. Vacuumed the pool today. It's perfect. And it was heavier than the floc meaning whatever that got stirred up dropped right back down to vacuum again. This will be my go to shock treatment. I even messed up and didn't realize this was a 2 part system and I did advanced 2 first. Then I came in and saw there was 2 different ones in a box and hurried and put 2 of the advanced 1 in .. still worked perfect. I followed the directions and put the filter on recirculate for an hr and off all night. I originally thought this was just a shock where you run your filter all night but I'm glad I read it first.

23,800 gallons of clear water in less than a week!
I changed the liner out in my 30’ diameter above ground pool. Pumped 23,800 gallons of well water in to fill it (took 25.5 hours). Water was like chocolate milk. Used metal out to settle iron and vacuumed. Treated with green to blue and in 24 hours, I could see the bottom! Vacuumed daily for 4 days and now the water is crystal clear, ready to use. 6 days from filling to clear! Great product!

It works but follow directions,
I had a totally green pool from a discount closing kit. I'll never skimp on that again. Anyway, I was very skeptical about a product like this and I hesitated buying it. I tried other things without great success. Got this product and was very careful to follow the instructions for use. The next day I could see the results. By the end of the day, my water was back to clear. Very, very pleased. The pool restored my reputation as the pool man. Thanks

Clean the leaves out before you start
This is my second year using Green To Blue. I was confused about how to use the product the first year. When I was finished it all made sense to me so this year I was much more successful cleaning my pool.I don’t have a pool cover so this is a three step process for me instead of two steps.1. Prep you pool. By this I mean take your skimmer and clean as much debris, sunken leaves and such, off the bottom as you can. I had a ton of leaves hidden in that green, murky mess. I knew where the leaves collected and swept every day for a week. Because of the murk I never knew what I was going to drag out. The less debris you have the better this product woks.2. Use the correct amount of shock according to directions on the box and bag. Filter your pool.3. After the shock is thoroughly mixed in, pour in the clarifier. Recirculate without filtering for an hour. Let it sit still overnight to allow all the particulates to settle to the bottom of the pool. Set the pump to discharge and vacuum your pool.Mine was so bad I had to shock the pool a second time. The pool was cleaner but not clean. I could see all the settled debris and swept the floor again. The fewer leaves in the pool the better the product works. Repeat shocking, vacuuming, and debris removal until your pool is clean. If this seems excessive that is a reflection of the condition of my pool not the product. I think I could have walked in that water. It sparkles now. Oh, the product does not turn your water blue. At least it didn’t turn my water blue.

DOES THE TRICK
I think it works just as well as pool store product and just about the same price. I save on gas and hassle of people by ordering it from Amazon

Took 48hrs but did the job
After recent hurricane, our pool was filled with a ton of debris. Without power too, the filter pump was off which made the build up of algae and everything worse. Usually we keep the salt water inground pool water well balanced and clear. Even after getting as much of the debris out and scrubbing after about 3 weeks, the water remained dark green. We have a cartridge filter so instead of following the instructions exactly on the box, after adding the ingredients per pool size, we manually used the pool brush to mix around for an hour. In 24hrs we were able to see some to the bottom. In 48hrs we saw the clumped dead algae more at the bottom and less green on the pool walls. The clumps were hard to vacuum out though as it would disintegrate easily. Ended up turning filter on and then having to wash out all the mess caught in the filters for second time since the hurricane. After that, pool was back to clean and clear while balancing out the regular items. If you have a cartridge filter and use this then be ready to either wash out the clumps or having to replace them. We were able to wash them out but the product is not recommended for cartridge filters. Also will require extra time if unable to change water flow.
