Esschert Design WA07 10 x 20 x 19cm Ceramic Toad House - Green

My friend was rather surprised when she found a toad in her house. She does have a lovely garden, which it no doubt hopped in from, but it doesn't contain a pond, nor are there any ponds nearby. It wasn't long before she spotted two more toads, so now she has three - a big one, a medium-sized one and a smaller one.Feeling somewhat concerned about them getting stuck indoors if she's had the backdoor open and didn't spot them, or that she'd accidentally step on one in the dark, she wondered if she should try to relocate them. She did like that they've chosen her garden, though, and didn't want to disturb them.I'd feel the same way, and after a look around online I found this toad house. I bought it because I figured that if they've got a comfy place to settle down in, they might be less inclined to hop into her house. Also, it looks nice and would make a good addition to her garden.Shipping was fast, the item was well-packaged, and the toad house is of a good quality. It should be big enough for the little toad family (there's a tiny frog as well now, goodness knows where they've come from... I might have to buy a second house for it at this rate!).My friend is very pleased with the item, and looking for the perfect spot to put it. I hope that they will indeed make it their home for the winter. She'll add some leaves etc to make it extra cosy. If this purchase goes down with them as well as it has with the humans, they'll be happy little toads indeed.

Purchased a few for gifts, well received by our friends with ponds and we kept one ourselves. Unfortunately no toads seem to like them....yet! They look good by the pond tho.

Great item. A house for a toad (or frog or any other garden critter I suppose).Nice little item. Very well packaged. I will be interested if this stands up to a frost.

Our frogs are enjoying it

I am creating a bog garden and was looking for a shelter for toads/frogs. Saw this advertised elseware at double the price. I was surprised how small it was, as the packaging was huge. The toad house is dark green with a gloss finish,well made with no rough edges. Put outside for a test run in the cold weather it didn't crack so am hoping it remains frost proof. No toads in residence yet, but it has provided shelter for a mouse!

This completely broke with the first hint of frost, even though it is in a very sheltered part of the garden next to a fence. A complete waste of money! Very disappointed as it looked perfect for what I wanted.

This is a great present for any keen gardener that already has everything. The Toad house is well made and a good size, small enough to tuck away somewhere but big enough to house a couple of toads. It is fairly unobtrusive because of the colour and so works well in any garden. Great buy!

It's well made. I absolutely love it. I hope the toad will love it too.
