Solid product, shame about the lack of attachment
I bought this as a Christmas present for my 2 Chinchillas. It took them a couple of days to get used to but now one in particular loves it not sure the other uses at all. Unfortunately, because the wheel does not attach in any way it does move around the cage when the chins start running mad. I managed to attach to the bottom of my chins cage with a metal screw, but I find it very noisy due to the vibrations from the wheel rattling against the cage floor when the chins are running at speed. On the whole the wheel is very well described and is silent when you spin it, it's just a shame it cannot attach to the cage wall and then perhaps it wouldn't make so much noise as it wouldn't keep banging off the cage floor.

Degus love it but it's prone to breaking
My degus love this: its large enough for both of them to sit and run on it; and neither are inclined to chew it, unlike plastic and wooden wheels and plates that they've had previously.However, I've found that the plate breaks from its base after a while. The first plate I bought lasted nearly two years, which was fine. But subsequent plates broke after only a few months. It's alot of money to pay for something that may only last a short amount of time.

Essential exercise equipment for happy chins but look after it!
My 3 chins absolutely love these wheels! For me they are an essential for their mental wellbeing as they spend many hours running on them and bouncing off them. However, I'm now on my third spinner in 3 years as the barrings don't last, if I was to feedback to the manufacturers I'd ask them to please fix the way the spinners sag into the base over time or the barrings come lose. For maximum useful life span I'd advise; keeping the spinner well away from the sand bath (the sand gets in the barring and squeaks/ rubs) and cage edges; to keep it still and quieter, buy 2 lava ledges and once the Chins have finished them, use the inner metal pegs to put through the cage base and the base of the saucer to hold it in one spot on the cage floor or a shelf! In summary, your chins will love this, look after it carefully and it will be worth every penny for the welfare benifits it brings!

Chinchillas love this
They we're a bit cautious at first but now my boys love running on their wheel. It's great because it has a flat running surface so doesn't hurt their back and because it's solid it's lest likely that they will catch something in it. The best part is that it's metal so they can't chew it either. This is perfect for any chin that loves to run when it's not out of cage time!!

Broke the first day it was used, they wouldn't let me return it because they're in Germany and I'm UK- waste of money and dangerous for your pet, better off buying from somewhere else

Our Chinchilla LOVES this! We have no complaints but keep the sand bath away from it unless you want it to start squeeking!
