A bit disappointing, there's a lovely display of very fine handiwork but over simplified advice for basic needlework & not detailed, at all, for how to replicate any of it, the 'instructions' are all at the back in black & white sketch form with just the stitches used for each item; no close up to see how it's actually done. Some nice ideas if you need them but not a how to for most of what's pictured. Would happily sell this on to any interested party as I didn't get much out of it I'm afraid

If you've thought embroidery is old-fashioned, think again. The projects are absolutely exquisite and would fit in to a contemporary or traditional home. There are templates but these have to be enlarged, otherwise I would have given it 5 stars. There are lots of different stitches and diagrams to make these stitches are included. Unless you do embroidery regularly I would suggest you practise the stitches before embarking on your project.

I love this book!Kazuko Aoki's work is really exquisite and this publication is beautifully put together, with clear, concise instructions for several lovely stitching projects. It's everything I hoped it would be, and more.

This book is a delight because it is so realistic in its designs, and is presented so naturally.
