Geez, the qualify if this product is in Point! Purchased since my husband is always so curious of what’s in his ear. He feels he doesn’t clean his ear properly but this proved him wrong.The only thing is if you want to go right you need to left and if you need to go left you need to go right and same for up and down

The view of the ear canal was very clear and is nice to be able to see in your own ears! I did have trouble using the cleaning tools and thought they were a bit too hard. Would definitely recommend this product over the regular otoscope that you buy at the drugstore.

I'm keeping this device. I had one by another vendor and sent it back. This one should be adequate for my purpose. Earwax can build up more for some people than others. The ABCC11 gene is responsible for determination of earwax type. The AA genotype corresponds to dry earwax, and GA and GG to wet type. I have the GG type and my hearing aids force earwax deeper into the ear canal where impairs my hearing further so this device will let me keep track of when it is getting be a problem.I posted pictures from the right and left taken with this device as well as the textbook image of a right eardrum as well as screen shots of the instructions. The instructions reveal that the focal point is 1" and this has to be keep in mind when using the device. The ear should be pulled back and upwards to obtain proper visualization.One should not expect to take still pictures using the device alone since one hand will hold the probe and the other will pull on the ear. It was easy enough to take a short movie to visualize alone. I would not recommend trying to use the scoops that come with it. I am not sure that it produces enough light to make any comments about the eardrum or the presence of infection. I choose this type in contrast to ones that use a phone to avoid loading another app. One has to supply an SD card to capture images. Use of the controls is not intuitive and there is some trial and error to use all it's functions.

I imagine this is going to be different per user, but the focal depth on this is supposed to be about 1 in, and it is definitely set correctly. The only issue is that the correct focal distance for an otoscope should be about 3/4 of an inch. This makes the task of getting the middle ear in focus. A very tricky endeavor of slowly repositioning the scope over and over again.That said, the image quality is nice, and the tool in general is extremely easy to use. Once you get over having to figure out the focal issue

An ear camera seeml like a great idea, but once I used it I didn't really see the benefit. I'm not saying it doesn't work, because it does. What I didn't see is where do I go now that I can see in my ear. I could feel the build up with my finger without looking in my ear. So it works and, but I didn't see much value in looking.
