Q: What is the width of the top of bench? The description says 16" but I'd like to be certain. Thanks!

The pine wood seat part is 13.5" front to back. Not sure why it says 16". It comfortably seats 2 people side by side. You have to assemble the bench but it was very easy.

Q: Does anyone know approximate weight limit? Wondering if it can seat two grown adults.

We use it primarily to put a quilt and pillows on at night but it could easily seat 2 adults without a problem. It is a very sturdy bench and appears to be well-built.

From end to end of the seat it is 48"

Mine looks just like the stock photo for item. It's a long narrow bench. I used it at kitchen table for a while but had to replace for a wider bench that wouldn't tip. Kids were falling on it. The bench is now under a bedroom window. Up against a wall it is stronger. Hope this helps.
