I love these learn to read books
I love these learn to read books! My daughter is 5 in Kindergarten and these are great books to practice reading. She is able to recognize the "sight words" and we work on sounding out the bigger words. My son, who is 3, also loves these books! I have NEVER been able to get him to sit and listen to me read him a story, even when he was a baby. It worries me because I know reading is important! But these books he will let me read! I think it has to do with it being short and the recognizable characters.

Very easy book for beginning readers
I bought this Kindle title for my five year old who just entered first grade. She is in love with Toy Story characters and I was sure she should find the book interesting. I wasn't prepared, though, to her reading it without needing any help form me. This should be one of the first Step Into Reading Level One book your child should read.

Easy reading
My son struggled to read so these easy step books are a great way to have fun and advance his reading!

It got a three because my almost three year old ...
It got a three because my almost three year old loves Toy Story and loves this little book. We’ve read it about 15 times in the two days he’s had it.It got a three because the pages are already coming apart. I had to tape about the first six pages of this book together so it doesn’t fall apart.Sooo.....would have gotten a five if it hadn’t come apart already!

Great for little Buzz Lightyear fans!
This is working great with my 2 year old granson. He LOVES Buzz! He refuses to talk due to his older brother does most of the talking for him, so I purchased this book - hoping he would repeat the words and it worked. He says Buzz and points to his picture. And will sit on my lap to read the book with me. It's hard to find Buzz items anywhere.

Great for age 2-ish!
My 2 year old loves Buzz and Woody (who doesn't?) and this is one of those books he can memorize and "read" on his own. If your child is at that stage and likes the characters, its good at that.I got the book for an airplane activity - it kept him busy all week long, but has lost some of its appeal now that he has his full library to select from.

Great age appropriate book for the beginning reader.
I love the Step Into Reading books for being age appropriate and having stories that appeal to young readers. My grandson is a huge toy story fan right now and this book was perfect for him.

Nice pictures...
Nice bright pictures, but uninteresting text. The few words are not drawn from the National Curriculum lists (at least I'm fairly sure I haven't seen 'buddies' in any other school reading books!
