Having recently upgraded to Windows 10 on an old(ish) Dell Inspiron 545 running a dual core pentium processor, clocked at 2.6ghz with only 2GB of RAM installed....things got slow. Very slow. 2GB of RAM is not enough for Windows 10 to run even remotely well so a friend in the know suggested a RAM upgrade, rather than spend a fortune on a new PC. It has made a massive difference! Web pages now load in seconds rather than minutes and the whole system is much much slicker without the memory bottoming out and things freezing up. These are fairly easy to fit once you get the PC cover off (just a couple of screws normally on a Dell). My motherboard has 4 RAM slots in 2 pairs and each pair had already 1GB fitted in each so I simply inserted these into each spare slot to boost the RAM to 6GB. All fitted, dust cleared out and 'new' PC up and running in less than half an hour. Very pleased for the money. Wish I'd done this months ago!!
