Excellent Quality Edible Prints
I was looking for an edible printer and had no idea what I was looking for, in terms of printer, inks, paper, etc. I came across this one and it looked perfect for what I needed - it comes with everything you need to start printing edible images. There are special cartridges that you fill with the supplied edible ink (there is plenty of it too which is great) and little syringes that come with it, enough for each colour, which I thought was a nice touch. There are also several sheets of good quality icing paper. However, I would recommend watching the instruction videos on Youtube for how to set it up/ fill the cartridges/ load the paper for the first time, as there are no instructions with the item on how to do this. Important lesson I learned: wear the gloves provided when handling the ink! I am very happy with the print and ink quality, as well as the paper quality. I have printed 3 images already for topping my cakes (including one that was mostly red and black) and I am very happy with all of them! Highly recommended.

Would definitely recommend
I'm a novice Baker and wanted one of these edible printers for ages, after loads of researching I choose Katie's edible ink printer and I'm delighted I did. It is so easy to set up and to fill the refillable ink cartridge, following a link to a set by step video provided by Katie's edible ink company. The quality is amazing. I could not fault this printer. I will be back to continually buy the ink and icing sheets. Thank you. 100% recommended

It has problems
I bought the newest version, the TS705, as my 7250 and my 5050 are full of ordinary ink and would be toxic. The set-up is the same for all Canon printers and I use a direct link and took no time at all. The printer is a little expensive compared to Canon's own price but I doubt I would have got it the next day if they had it in stock. The only quibble I have is that the red ink is leaking into its bag but I can solve that, the bottle itself is fine. Since writing this the printer has died, I chickened out and filled it with ordinary ink and it printed 24 pages before it was not recognised by the computer. The chat assistant at canon gave me some advice to enable me to get it work. It printed a further 4 pages and died again, now it will not reinstall. I have contacted canon by email and am currently waiting for a reply.

Best value for money edible printer kit!
The media could not be loaded. Hello there!I got that printer for my husband for Christmas and he says it's the best!!The whole kit is well packed. The procedure to refill the Cartridges is very simple. Just use common sense. And the whole experience is amazing. Some quick tips:- Without removing the orange thing from the Cartridge just poor 5ml of ink, then lift the orange thing for a couple of second while tilting the whole Cartridge towards the sponge. Then put the orange thing and poor another 5ml in the Cartridge.- For the big black one poor 10ml+10ml.- As you can see at the picture with all the Cartridges, probably I could poor more ink in the Cartridges. I recon 15ml for the small ones and 25ml for the big one but there is no need to stuff them up, just use the ink and refill them again.- I read some reviews that they say you will make a huge mess on your desk for the refill. BS!!!! Look at my photos, no mess at all. Straight forward procedure.- To be honest, none of us is gonna use the printer everyday, and that is killing the printer heads that may have dried ink blocking the nozzles. So every now and then put some normal paper and just print something. Its better to spend some ink for everyday prints than wasting the whole Cartridge while waiting to print on edible paper.- Bear in mind that from the minute you send the print, it takes a while to be printed, that it's just normal. As long the power button is blinking that means that the printer is getting ready.- My last advice is search on youtube for "Canon iP7250 edible printer" and see a couple of videos so you get familiar with the whole idea of refilling Cartridges so you know what to expect.See my photos and video so you can understand what I'm talking about!Don't have any hesitation on not buying the printer!!! Do it now!

Great to use but not so easy to do
The installing is the worst I have seen.. almost like an IKEA manual. Even went on their YouTube channels but it's old. I struggled to set it up and putting the ink on was really tough. It was thanks to someone else's review I somewhat knew what to do. Once you do it, printing is a breeze!! Don't use the icing paper to print from the bottom because the printer struggles to detect it. Also the ink easily smudges so you have to be very careful especially if you are trying to stick it on icing, you need to add water but if you get slight water on the print, it smudges everything.
