Wine rack was exactly as advertised. It comes unfinished and un-assembled, so you can stain it however you like before you put it together. It will hold full size bottles without any problem and seem quite sturdy, and can support a few items on top. The wine bottle slots can hold both full size bottles and 500ml bottles (long this ones).

Fantastic wine rack
I have four of these now. Each one has arrived in good condition and was easy to assemble. I have tried to buy some cheaper racks and wasted my money. If you want a great product this is the one.

Effort doesn't always produce desired effects - staining
Easy to put together but if you're staining properly expect to put some time in; I did about 16 hours staining and 2 on poly. I was disappointed in seeing the top shelf have 3 of the 4 boards with the same grain but the 4th doesn't and it stained completely different than the other three. Now the top looks funky and is the first thing I notice. I take pride in the stuff I do and expected to give this away to a family member at some point but am embarrassed through no fault of mine by the appearance of the rack. Had the staining gone well I'd have given this rack 5 stars

Relatively easy to assemble
Relatively easy to assemble, attractive and solid. Exactly what I was looking for. Was worried about stability but it's solid. Might look even better stained but too lazy to do it.

Pricey but I love it...
Accurately notched to fit together perfectly. Very little effort to put it together (just a phillips screw driver and 25 minutes). Instructions were clear. Looks great set up and bottles fit great.

works well. I ferment my own wine and it is full of bottles(most of the time). No sagging or cracking. Mine is in my cellar. Don't get a cheap one made of pine, you'll be sorry.

Great quality and responsiveness from the company
Great responsiveness from the company when there was a delivery glitch. We ordered the redwood rack and found it very easy to assemble and very nice quality. We got what we expected and are very happy with our purchase.
