The low heat LEDs can be dimmed and it has a remote control to change its colour and set the sleep and timer functions. It takes x3 AA Batteries and a USB port cable that can be plugged into any USB power source. (base will NOT recharge Batteries). The base has three multifunction buttons which allow you to turn the light on/off, adjust the brightness, adjust between Rainbow mode or choose a specific colour.
