Awkward to fit, but worth it
They took 10-15 mins to fit, but giving new life to a good pair of headphones is definitely worth it.

Tricky to install, but great
These were the perfect replacement for the (now 7-year-old) pads on my MDR-1As. I was about to buy a new set of headphones because the pads were so tatty, but getting these has saved me about a hundred quid.Addressing some comments from other reviews:- Yes, the pads do initially look slightly smaller than the originals. However, I'm about 90% sure that this is just because the originals are old and have stretched and loosened over time. I think these are the same actual size as the stock ones were originally.- Yes, they are a little hard to install. Having to squeeze the plastic ring into the new pads takes a minute... you have to stretch the pleather material to fit it on, and you have to do it carefully so as not to tear it. I found that putting the bottom of the ring in, and then using two fingers to strech the pleather upwards to fit the top on worked quite well. But I knocked off a star because it would have only cost them a few pence to include a new plastic ring pre-installed. If you're struggling to then clip the pads to the headphones, double check you're not installing them upside-down (I was at first).- Comfort: again, they don't feel quite as comfy as my old ones did, but I'm about 90% sure that this is because they are brand-new and not 7-years worn in. The material feels exactly the same. They are still incredibly comfortable (the MDR-1A is the most comfortable pair of headphones I've ever owned, even better than the WH1000-XM3, and this is still the case with the new pads).

These ear pad are just as good as the original
These ear pad are just as good as the original. They are made of good quality material. Fitting the ear pads was made easy, with the aid of the supplied tool. All the slots on the ear pad lined up on the fitting ring. Unlike some of the cheaper ones, these ear pads are sided and colour coded just like the originals. Definitely worth the money for the quality, just hope they last longer than the Sony ones

Not so Quickfit
After viewing fitting on you tube went ahead and bought these pads to fit my Sony MDR 1A headphones, arrived quickly in a nice box with a plastic tool to help remove/replace the pads, this is where it ends to be easy, the pads have to be stretched like mad to fit the plastic rings that go inside the pads, then the punched holes that allow the plastic rings to fit back on the headphone speaker are so small they land up blocking the small holes in the headphones, after a bit of cutting of the holes in the pads I did get them to fit but what a fiddle, would not recommend these to other people they are such a pain to fit

Looks and feels identical to the original.
It's a bit tricky trying to fit it at first, but you soon get the hang of it, and it's all fine. Just be careful not to damage the little plastic ring.It looks and feels like the original. I wish the foam kept it's shape a little more. I also hope it lasts longer and not start to unglue itself like the original.

Cheap replacement but does the job just about
To begin with, I thought this product included the clip rings but it does not, it is only the ear pads. This was my mistake but listing could be a little clearer. The main reason I made an order was to find a new clip. It's also worth noting that my old 5 year old ear cups didn't have any of the outer leather left they were that worn and ragged! After getting a replacement clip ring for my broken right side, I fitted these pads. It shouldn't of been as hard as it was but it didn't take me any longer than 15 minutes. The left ear pad had been assembled with a defect that skewed its shape, so the holes didn't like up. I peeled apart the bad glue job and made minor amendments to the holes (they had been cut in the wrong place due to the assembly issue). After that everything lined up neatly. They do not feel as quality as the originals, the outer material is more rigid/not as soft. The foam is cheap foam, it doesn't cushion the same and compresses too easy. Either way the tips of my ears now touch the inside of the cans whereas even with 5 year old official Sony foam this didnt happen, I do have a big head and ears so maybe not a problem for many.I only got these to tide me over until Sony finally release the 1000mx4 so I don't need them to last all that long and for the price, I would say I got what I paid for. Shame about the manufacturing error but nothing I couldn't solve quickly enough.

The Headphones Look as good as new OMG!
The cups are supplied with a plastic fitter (which I broke accidently) trying to take them apart...kinda scary that bit.. but thankfully i had a metal prying tool which i use for my PC...Once you follow up on the YouTube tutorial video then its easy as pie..!Amazing fitment.
