I was extremely skeptical about this product when I bought it. I have two female cats that are very aggressive toward each other. I gave them each the valerian, about every 4 to 6 hours with their food. At first, I did not believe that it was working. They were still being bratty to each other. Now, I did not expect this to be a miracle worker but to me it looked as if it wasn't having any side effects. So I stopped giving it to them. I immediately saw the difference. They both started being more aggressive with each other after I stopped giving it to them. I gave them both a dose again, and they went back to just being jerks to each other, but not aggressive. I didn't realize how much the product was helping until I stopped using it. The dosage is a bit hard to get down, but once you figure it out it really works. It worked so well, that I used it for my friends dog who has a lot of anxiety.

We have big thunderstorms and hurricanes here. This is one of the few products that seriously helps. Both my previous dog ( passed of old age) and my new best friend really benefitted by a dose of this product when storms threaten. Not a knock out drops but more of an " I actually don't care" type of reaction by my dog. I'm so glad Amazon carries this product because it can be very difficult to find locally. Effective help for my best friend's anxiety. Highly recommended.

I have tried it twice. My dog is about 50lbs and is scared of thunder. I was afraid to give him the full 5ml, due to the negative reviews. The first time I did 1ml, followed an hour later with 2ml. Did not calm him. Next storm, I gave him 4ml and was not effective. I will try once more with 5ml. I gave him the doses directly from the dropper, however the dropper only holds 1ml, so I am glad he liked the taste so he let me repeat the administration until I got the amount recommended. For the 4/5ml, I removed 1ml at a time, into a paper cup, then used a 5ml syringe and pulled it up, out of the cup, so I could give him it all at one time.

I kept using the product for several days, hoping that it might just need some time to take effect, but sadly, it never did.Not only did Richard’s Organic Pet Calm fail to work, but it also seemed to cause some mild digestive upset. My poodle, who usually has a hearty appetite, began eating less and had a bit of an upset stomach. This was the last thing I expected from a product marketed as organic and safe.Given the complete lack of positive results and the adverse effects, I am incredibly disappointed with Richard’s Organic Pet Calm. It was a waste of money and time, and I would definitely not buy it again. I am currently in the process of seeking a refund, and I sincerely hope the company honors this request.In conclusion, based on my experience, I would not recommend Richard’s Organic Pet Calm to anyone. If you're looking for a reliable solution to help calm your pet, I suggest exploring other options. This product, unfortunately, did not live up to its claims and left me feeling very let down.

I didn't actually taste it, and had fun getting the cat to swallow it- he has Catzhiemers. Seemed to work, if only because he naffed off to the garden to sulk for an hour or so.
