They have a nice weight, the metal hilts. The "blade" is not the cheap telescoping toy style. They come with 2 charging cords, they are standard usb ends, but no power brick comes with it. They make a noise when you power them up and off, just like a real light saber, it is really cute. They make a sound effect and blink kind of when they make contact, like you're actually fighting. They are red when you power them up and you can click through and select whatever color you like; yes, even purple and yellow for the Mace Windu fans and Rey fans.I criss crossed them through my Christmas tree and left them on for an hour or two at a time, only a couple of times and for pictures. I forgot they were on once and I would say they probably lasted 4 hours on a full charge? They charge pretty quick, I don't know exactly how long it took though, I didn't pay attention. But if you are suing them for anything like I did, I would suggest a power box with 2 USB ports and maybe a lightweight extension cord, so they can easily be charged while they are in the tree. So you don't have to hassle with removing and replacing them each time.I also got them on a deal, I think I got the pair for like $30, when they have been running around $50 for aluminum rechargeable sets. So that sealed the deal for me. I don't know if I would have paid more than $30, but mine are for decor, not for kids to play with, so that is a personal choice.But for sure I do not regret the purchase! Now hopefully they will survive being stored and not used for a year! We will see!!

These are great quality and easy to recharge. My son loves them.

I got this for my 8 year old son. Best gift ever! 6 months later he still enjoys playing with them. It is so well made. You get two swords that can be made into one double sword with a blade at each end. It has a good weight to it. Fun lights and sound effects that react when the swords get hit. Very durable. Side note: Before wrapping them, I carefully opened the package so I could charge the swords so they were ready to be played with when my son unwrapped them.

To start. I bought a set of these two years ago. And just received a second set today.Now we charged them up and turned the new ones on. Holy cow man... They flash WITH EVERY LITTLE MOVEMENT. They also flash SUPER slow, so much so that you see plain no light of the saber as you move it's such a badly timed flash and it flashes for SO LONG it's a good thing none of my family have epilepsy because even as a normal people, we flinched and had to look away for how bright and obnoxious this new set was.Please understand, the set I got two years ago. WE ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM. We are a Star Wars family, not the comic events and stuff but we watch all the movies and shows and me and my hubby grew up with the slide out sabers. All four of us go to battle several times a week (2 yr old, 5 yr old, and mom and dad).Now the original set has been used by my (then) three year old who is five and a half now. And they have held up AMAZING so far (which that little girl doesn't hold back when trying to destroy is in a battle).The only issue is the machining on the hilts was roughly done and has some sharp edges around the buttons and bottom. Still, so amazing and durable and the light colors are gorgeous. These are perfectly sized for a kid or dueling with a kid as well as a dual staff.Now the new ones I just received. Other than the flashing sensitivity which is ridiculous. THEY ARE MACHINED AMAZING. If you are a tech type that can change the programming of the motion sensitivity and the flashing speed and duration, these would be perfect. The hilts are machined so smooth and the connection piece for the dual staff mode is so much safer on this new version! They are absolutely gorgeous and perfect, until you turn it on and can't move more than a snails pace or change a color without it flashing like a failing/slow strobe light...I have ordered a third set to determine if we got a defective set, or if this is the new version they are selling. Crossing our fingers that the lights are defective in the second set. 🙏

The media could not be loaded. I paid $60 for a pair. That's fairly inexpensive for something like this in this market. It's not as long as I would like it to be (that's what she said), but it does the job. It's a lot of fun, and it looks cool with bo staff twirling if you get good enough. But I don't know how long they'll hold up, the electronics inside seem to be faulty. My first order was a dud right out of the box. They sent a replacement and it seems to be holding up okay so far. Pretty good customer service, fast response and resolution to a problem. So they get my kudos. If the replacement saber holds up over time, I'll come back and change all stars to 5. 9/17/2021. (Also, on a side note; if you are used to bo staff twirling with a wooden staff, this thing will feel light as air.)

Realistic with sounds and color changes. Nice metallic hilt and strong pvc sword shaft. Sounds are realistic when one swings the sword or hits the opponent. I hesitated initially because of the low price but the quality is better than more expensive ones I bought and returned. Will help provide hours of entertainment for my 7 year old.

These looked great but one Sabre some of the colors didn't work. The sound went out in a week. Poor internal quality.Don't buy these.
