Heatkeeper Radiator Insulation Panels (10 Pack)

These are good quality and easy to fit. My only coment would be that the panels are designed to be cut in particular places (and those places only) and these could be improved on. For example the panel was slightly too tall for my radiator so I had to cut some off the top, but the minimum I could remove was three of the horizontal bars (around 4-5 inches). This was far more than I wanted as it left a big gap at the top, bit I had no choice. What is odd is that below the first section which can be cut out there are other sections which are one and two bars. Why not have the smaller cut outs at the top to give a wider range of available sizes? This meant I wasted a lot of material and had a big gap in coverage. Shame really

Let's get the negative comments over with first. The instructions are over-complicated and too small. A3 instead of A4 would have been appropriate. The fixing tape provided is about 10 times what you actually require, and should be heavier duty to ensure durable fixing.I expected the panels themselves to feature a thicker insulated backing but the insulative properties seem to have been integrated into the panel itself so you have a shiny front that reflects heat and a matt backing that is supposed to prevent it from passing through into the wall. My tests show however that a significant amount of heat (but not all) does go through the back. These panels are admittedly easier to fix that the thicker insulation on rolls but not as effective so you need to weigh up the pros and cons hence only 3 stars.

The product itself is quite good and much easier to install than the foldable aluminum sheets, we could really feel the difference once installed behind our radiators.HOWEVER, the double side tape provided with it is totally useless, it doesn't stick to the wall (painted plasterboard) and all the panels fell on the floor after a day! :(The solution was to use small pins/nails to hand them to the walls

Promptly delivered. A very adequate product - I would think at least as good as any - for what I hope it will do.As well as reflective, it is embossed to deflect convection currents.However, perhaps given the proximity to heat, the double-sided sticky tape does not remain stuck - certainly bot on wood chip paper.The whole lot dropped down behind the radiator and needs to be pinned in place.Now it's there, let's hope in made a difference.

When I bought this product I had difficulty fitting to the rear of my radiators because the gap was so small behind, however with a bit of thought I managed to adhere the top of the panels with a glue to the wall and the bottom I used just the tape provided I hope they stay stuck If the claims of saving wasted heat I will be most happy but only time will tell.

The narrow double-sided tape is not adequate for the job, as the folding of the panels for dispatch makes them remain bent and consequently they pull away from the wall continuously . I have tried re-applying them using some much broader double-sided tape but am still experiencing difficulty in getting them to stay put. The idea of the panel itself is excellent, but the application is let down in the detail.

easy to instal. liked the video. definitely needs a smidgeon of glue on the back of the double sided tapes to keep the product on the wall. Good value here - better than on other sites - but does it make any difference to radiator performance? I've had them in place throughout this cold snap and I'm not yet convinced. Ask me in a year's time.

Easy to fit, un-noticeable, however we have painted walls and the tape that comes with it only lasted a week in the winter with the radiators on a lot, stronger tape was a quick fix.
