SPRING TENSION ROD INDOOR PLANT POLE WITH 3 ADJUSTABLE ARMS

Q: The reviews for this rod have been very confusing. Can someone please tell me if the item can hold the weight of a reall plant?

These poles are nowhere the quality of the thicker, sturdier plant poles offered in the 1970's/1980's. The spring tension was stronger. The hanging arms were thicker, held heavier plants. There were metal caps of top and bottom of the poles. As most products nowadays....cheaper, flimsier, thinner, less quality, less durability.

Q: how much does the pole weigh?

Not really sure how much it weighs, but it is very light. The poles are hollow, and yes it is not very sturdy. But be very careful, because the ends of the poles are very jagged, and I cut my hand pretty deep, while assembling. Don't let your kids play with them.

Q: How short can the pole go? I want it to go from a window sill to the ceiling.

The rod I have goes from the floor to the ceiling about 8 ft. What's the distance from the window sill to the ceiling?

Q: how do you assemble the spring tension plant pole

The poles fit inside each other, but make sure you leave the part with the spring last. Once you have all the parts together, just put that end against the ceiling and lift up until you have it straight. The hangers go on at an angle then you can straighten them out to hold the plants straight.

Fairly easy to construct - although the instructions aren't as clear as you'd possibly like them. The arms are shorter than I expected (about 30 cm) and are at an angle which was also unexpected. The arms stay up when they have weight on them ... otherwise I kept knocking them down. For all that, the final product does just what I need it to do ... though wouldn't mind one or two more arms ...
