This straightener is a lifesaver when I'm rushing out of the house to work and don't have time to fully straighten my hair. What I like to do when I'm running late is use my regular straightener (at home) and straighten the very top layer of hair. Then right when I get in my car, plug it in so it can start heating up. Typically it takes a good 10-15 minutes for it to heat well. I don't know if this has to do with the power of a car or not but I drive a 4cylinder. At stop lights or when stuck by a train it gives time to finish straightening the rest. I was really excited when I was give the chance to sample this as I'm always running errands or in my car for one reason or the other. I do want to mention that it doesn't get super hot, probably for safety reasons considering this is only for the car, so if you have curly, coarse/thick hair I'm not sure it would get it stick-straight. This also works great on humid days when I have a nice event to go to and I've taken forever on my hair at home then when I get to where the event is I notice my hair in the front getting frizzy - quick couple of swipes and it is back to looking great. Also should mention it is super cute.

I work a Monday through Friday job and get up in plenty of time to get ready, but on the weekends I am always on the go. Every weekend myself and my significant other travel here and there to look at cars, or shop, or whatever we want to do. This is absolutely perfect for carrying in my purse. The size is great. Its about the size of a king sized candy bar when its in its little pouch it comes with. Easy to hide in your purse. The plates heat up super fast, I think it was hot enough to flatten my hair in under 2 minutes. I only wish that the plug was interchangeable so I could take it in and use it if we ended up staying at a hotel or something. This way I wouldn't need to bring 2 along. But for what it was intended for, its absolutely perfect.

This is an absolute perfect gift to give my 19 year old grand daughter. She just loves everything that is bling and sparkly. This si a great size of 7 inches long and will fit perfectly in her purse. There will be no more waiting on her to do her hair because now she can do it in the car on the way since it has a car plug in. It is great that this is dual voltage as it will allow her to travel in the military. It is very light weight and comes with its own carrying bag. It heats up fast and works great on my trial run with it before I give it to her.
