For those in home school, or like me, just into anatomy models, this is a great addition. The colors are distinct and the parts fit nicely. The model is attractive and the components well defined enough to make study useful and entertaining. The stand is stable but still a small enough footprint to not take up too much room. A very welcome addition to either a study set or a collection.

I have taken human anatomy and have some great models but I did not have a heart. I LOVE this heart! It is accurate, life sized, has magnets to keep it together (instead of hard to detach old style rods and holes). The heart is marked with numbers and comes with a key so you can learn the different parts of the heart. It even OPENS UP so you can see the inside! The coloring is perfect and life like. It is made of a hard PVC plastic which means it will last for years to come.The other side thing is- my father is having heart valve surgery in a few weeks (it is being replaced with a pig valve). It's pretty cool that I can show others in the family what is happening with his surgery.On a side note, the stand is great and this heart model is solid. It is not cheaply made. There are not any strange plastic overgluing or weird bumps or improper alignment. Everything fits like a glove.

I'm a visual learner, and I'm taking anatomy so I really wanted to get the heart down right. This has been a huge help. The model has two halves that are held together by embedded magnets. It's really durable. I've dropped it a few times (accident, I swear!) and it has survived beautifully. The valves are a more flexible plastic, so if any of this were capable of breaking, it would be the valves, but they're really well protected. It displays wonderfully on the stand. And it's an eye grabber. I sort of leave it out to see who stumbles across it and they always want to play with it. I highly recommend.

This is a very solid model of a human heart, and I would say it is life-sized for a small to normal side adult. It has anatomical number markings that any doctor can extrapolate from, and comes apart into two pieces for teaching. It is very sturdy and solid, and I love that the detachable piece stays on. This is not some throwaway piece of plastic junk - you could use this in class for decades, and the stand is nice and sturdy, too. I'd recommend this as an easy teaching aid for biology and anatomy classes.

The anatomy texts show drawings from various perspectives, and often cadaver photos. I've also seen videos of cadaver dissection, ultrasound imaging, and other portrayals of the heart. And a stethoscope offers yet another way to explore the anatomy.What's new and welcome in this model is the ability to ask and answer questions that require several views continuously or sequentially. Just to mention two things I found helpful: better appreciation for the interleaving of pulmonary trunk with aorta, and appreciation that, from outside, the relaxed atria just look like add-ons to the firm muscular structure of the ventricles.This model seems to be noticeably less pricey than others. On a quick scan of the field, I didn't identify any significant differences.

I got this item on time without any issues. I got this mainly for my students. I am a medical teacher and wanted my own personal cardiovascular model than I can place in my desk. This is just what I needed. It came with everything as advertised, the actual heart model, stand and card with names and number of each structure. The stand is sturdy and is easily placed on the rod and can place and put back with ease.This is very accurate and a great educational tool. I love that I can use this for my students so they can visualize what I am teaching and can just place right back in my desk. This is a great educational tool and great for teachers and students.
