Okay, so I'll be upfront and say that I bought this set brand new for $10. At that price I can't complain in the least. At $40 however I'd rate them between three and four stars. See why below:Weight: when you pick up the box you will know that these glasses are sturdy and substantial. In the realm of sturdiness and build quality, these deliver five star quality even at $40 - $60 per set. No issues here, none.Size: they're a good size, more than sufficient. The slight bezel at the lip of the glass is perfect, and the volume is spot on in terms of the amount of liquid it can hold. Again, 5/5.Style: So I'm a fan of art, and I can see the artistic merit in these glasses, they are beautiful. The finger notches are superb in terms of look and feel. The base is thick and features a spherical cut out that feels nice when your fingers wander from their notches. The tint/color of the glass is great as well... The problem is the shape.Now don't get my wrong, you can still drink from these and they're really fun! But if you're wanting a classic, serious set to enjoy a nice scotch or something along those lines I'd look for another glass.My suggestion to Spades Glassware would be to either go more square shaped by pulling out the curves, or more circular shaped with some *slight* points to make this glass fun without being avant garde. Again though, it's a beautiful, well-built, and functional glass.

Even though they felt good in the hand and I like the weight....the oval shape was too odd. I could see myself and the person we bought them for spilling while drinking.

When initially holding the glass, the fit and feel was the first thing I noticed. The way the curves are set provides a very nice finger placement for comfortable and secure handling. The glass is high quality and the oval shape provides a nice contrast from my other glasses. Would definitely recommend!

The pictures show this to be possible round or square... they definitely do not suggest that this has a football shaped opening. For us, it seemed awkward to hold and drink out of. For some, it may be a good conversation piece. They definitely look nice and are high quality glass. However, not for us.

They look and feel great. The hand grip is really good. They are heavy. The only reason I dont give them 5 stars is because my ice cubes do not fit flush! Ice cubes are about 2x2 and they’ll get stuck in the top. If I turn the cube on its side, then it makes it to the bottom of the glass but with no wiggle room. Admitedly Im starting with wiskey now, so dont know how much of a trouble is this.

They are an elongated four sided glass which I returned.

Love the unique oval shape and the weight of this attractive glassware.Easy to hold, tough to knock over.I use them for everything.Strongly recommend!

My husband loves these! The grip is his favorite part of the gift!... but I love the heavy base. Very expensive look,

Here's what I like about these Scotch glasses:- A bit heavier than a normal glass which seems to make the drink a bit more manly (I grew a beard while holding it)- Ergonomic shape seems to hug your fingers in between the curves on the glass meaning that whether it's your first drink of the night or the eighth, you'll feel safe that it won't slip out of your hand.-The overall all look is cool and different and just makes the Scotch shine in the glass.My one dislike:- I enjoy having one oversized ice cube in my glass, but due to the oval shape of the glass, a full cube doesn't fit. In order to remedy the problem I just fill my ice cube tray up a bit below the rim and the rectangular cube fits on its side in the glass.Note that my one dislike does not take away from my 5 star overall rating.

Bought for my boyfriend for his birthday and he loved them! Very well made and sturdy. It's very easy to grip and can fit ice cubes inside along with your drink. Only issue would be that if you want to hold the glass in your left hand, it's not as comfortable because the grooves seem to curve better in your right hand. A few friends have held the glass and agree that it's more of a right handed glass so keep that in mind! Doesn't bother us if it's not as comfortable in the left hand but something to consider if you normally hold your glass with your left hand.
