Zoopod 4Pack 12W 12" x 12" LED Flat Panel Light, 6000K Cool White, Ultra Thin Edge-lit Square LED Panel Ceiling Light

The Zoopod LED flat panel lights work well, though would be better if they could be better designed to work for the use-case of drywalling around. They are 12x12 perfectly and will work great if you want to drop them into a 12x12 drop-down ceiling type setup. But if wanting to mount it against a drywalled ceiling, it relies upon a plug-in connector that should be hard-wired. But they don't make it particularly easy to mount in that case, so for my setup I am using strong double-sided velcro to attach the LED light to the drywall (there is some "moulding" attached to the lights already, further complicating it depending upon whether you like it or not) and then I will have the adapter within a junction box and a flat metal cover with knockout and wire glad for feeding that wire connector through to the flush-mounted light. Just more of a mess than I realized from looking at the product page and unlike some flush/recessed LED lights that have the convenient drywall clips and come with a junction box pre-wired for easy installation.

I am always very impressed with these led troffer flat panels. The LED version are super simple to wire up and install. The weight and electricity savings alone is enough to offset the decreasing amount between traditional and led. LED bulb long life and zero maintenance costs.

Everything is as described. Only problem is no wiring diagram. Some l.e.d. ballast will blow if wired incorrectly so it took a little research.

The main image shows two lights and the description does not specify one way or another. Only one is in the package. I am returning the lights I purchased.

These lights were easy to install. We put them in a basement with a low ceiling and they put off bright white light.

I bought this to make a SAD light - it works great. It also doubles as a nice, diffuse macro light for photographing orchids.
