Q: Can the Soss hinge be installed in an 1 3/8" thick door?

Hinges are Intended for 1-3/4" thick doors (I'm assuming anything smaller might be problem), so I think you will be okay.

Q: any video how to install? I am installing doors without frames, looking for clean lines.

Q: I want to install them on my French doors opening out to the patio. Will they easily replace the hinges that had my door swinging inward?

Not easily. These hinges have to mortised into the door and jamb 2.5". Also your doorstop would have to be changed, Assuming that your doorstop isn't built right into the jamb.

These hinges are amazing. They are completely hidden, but a challenge to install (if you don't have the correct tools. The width and depth of the door depends on the size of the hinge you buy and it usually specifies that on the package - usually about 1/4 - 1/2 inch wider door than the hinge and a couple inches in depth - which seems like a lot but think about the job it is performing.
