Very easy reading which can be done in one sitting. Great story telling throughout. Great book to help get new volunteers to have a bigger picture of what volunteerism within the local church can and should be. A great beginners book, but much more applicable to the larger, mega church environment. The stories being told are definitely geared toward that small percentage of Christendom.However, a great starter for any volunteer.

This is the best book for volunteers of Ministry I have ever read! It is refreshing and real! Makes me proud to have started my career as a Not Normal volunteer!

Great book for leaders and volunteers!!!

I enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading the leaders companion book so I can figure out how to adapt this to work for our small group of ministry staff and the many volunteers we work with during the summer months. Lots of good insights I hope those we work with can embrace and experience more fulfillment from their service.
