Comfort is #1!!!!
Wide toe box. Keeps my feet stable. The fit is perfect for me, same with the size. Cushing is very comfortable. This is a lighter weight shoe, so I always have an extra pair to rotate out with.I have had surgery on my feet, and have tried many shoes, (a very expensive venture) but the TOPO brand has been my favorite go to brand for the last 3 years.

Good enough for my feet…
I’m not a running snob, just a 200 lb retired Soldier who needed some quality cushioning for these old dogs. My feet are chewed up— plantar fasciitis, neuroma, and maybe even a collapsed arch. These shoes were my last hope. I bought them for the wide toe box and the support. I wasn’t let down. I am now happily continuing on the 18 mile week almost pain free. I went through three other top brands… and you know what? You get what you pay for.

Workout shoe
The shoes have a roomy toe box and fill great during gym workouts.

Great for my big toe
Love the wide toe box. Finally a shoe where my big toe doesn’t rub on the inside side of the toe box. I just wish the sole was more springy and the styling more bold and colorful. These are a fairly innocuous shoe, but as a guy I like bold pretty colors and hate how it seems shoes for guys are variations of grey, black, white, and blue. Give us some color for goodness sake! Also, I wish they’d make these shoes BREATHE some more. They seem to get sweaty pretty easily and if they just had more of a mesh over the toe box it would help them breathe better.

I really like these shoes. Its my second pair. I like the width and comfortable and light weight

Assembled crooked
Seems to be a nice shoe but one was assembled poorly. The body was glued into the footbed crooked, noticeable while looking down at the heal and from the back. This is the same reason I threw my Altra Peregrines away. Makes you look like you are walking with a turned ankle. I have a 10.5 Wide arriving in a few days, hope that pair is correct.EDIT: the 10.5W arrived and it feels much better in the toe box while still being snug enough in the heal and mid section

Great shoe for walking, simple and handsome design
I wear these for walking and not as a daily trainer for running. The shoes are not especially plush, but still feel very comfortable. I prefer a shoe that doesn’t have too much of a rocker, and these work really well for walking and standing around. I like the medium-ish stack height and drop, which contrasts with some of the max stack and cushioned shoes out there. I’ve used them at the gym, and they are quite stable, but wouldn’t use them for heavy lifting or exercises where you jump from side to side. As usual, I really like the Topo fit: anatomical toe-box, and snug elsewhere. There is a bit of arch support, and this might not suit everyone. One more thing to note, these are simple, plain looking shoes, but I find them handsome, and great for casual daily wear.

Topo ruined what was great in the Phantom 2
The Phantom 2 size 12 was the perfect shoe for me. So perfect I bought and wore out 3 pair. When the Phantom 2 was fazed out and replaced by the Phantom 3 was apprehensive about changes. As it turned out, Topo ruined a shoe that was perfect for me. The Phantom 3 size 12 was too small and the 12 1/2 too big. I’m done with Topo and will investigate other makers of wide toe box shoes.
