Nice shaving cream with a scent that doesn't linger long
All of Taylor of Old Bind Street's shaving creams are excellent. It's just the nature of the cream. They differ based on scent. The Almond scent is quite pleasing, but not my favorite. I'd say if you love the Almond scent, then I'd recommend this cream. It doesn't linger long though, which actually may work well for others. The smell is delicious! It smells like someone baked a fresh batch of Almond cookies--our five year-old son loves the scent! I'm not sure I want to smell like almond cookies all day, so having the scent dissipate in a few hours is probably a good thing for this cream.I prefer a scent that's subtle and lingers for a good part of the day. If you're like me in this way, you might want to try one of the other Taylor scents.

Great cream...pretty simple.
So I have tried to find a better way to shave due to having chronic dry and sensitive skin, especially during the cold winter months up North. I typically use either Nivea sensitive shave cream and it was pretty good but still left my face very dry. I recently have been using the Aveno shave cream which was actually quite good and if I ever had to resort to going back to a can, I would probably use the Aveno again.Anyhow, I was looking at an article that was describing DE shaving and this product was mentioned. It was actually the Sandalwood but I prefer a milder smell and this one (Almond) seemed to fit my typical "likes" so I went for it. The first time I used it I tried the hand-lather and apparently did not have enough water as it seemed to dry too quickly on my face. The next time I swapped over to the bowl and added a bit more water and what a huge difference that made! The lather was great and did not dry out at all. I am still waiting for my safety razor and blades to come in and was currently using the "executive" blades from Dollarshaveclub.com (which are actually quite good and comparable in my opinion to the Gillette Fusion if you currently use this style blade...go check them out as $9 a month for 4 cartridges is a steal in comparison!).I have been a long-time user of the Fusion and Mach Series blades and I am reviewing this cream with razors that I have been using forever so the comparison of this cream is fairly well controlled. I will say that I do still have a little dry skin following shaving with this but it is certainly better. It takes an extra minute to work up lather and apply it with a Badger brush however the shave is better and more comfortable, thus worth the time. For the price, I can not complain either as a little seems to produce a lot of lather and should last a while. Go grab some and see for yourself.

I don't like the Almond shave cream.
I always use the Taylor of Old Bond Street St. James Shaving Cream (8 years) and love it, but tried the Almond shave cream once. It is a lot creamier so you get a lot more on your brush which makes it not last half as long as the other. It also makes it creamier on your face which requires more rinsing to remove it. Trying to make a tub of it last more than 2 weeks. Won't be buying that variety again.

Great product but..
Product is great, but received what appeared to be a used one, missing a lot of the soap and sticky cover on the outside. Disappointed that they would send me one that was opened already. The container is not sealed.

This is the one!
Other Taylors shaving creams have stronger scents like Mrs. Taylors, Sandlewood, Etc are which are nice. Almond is more protective/smooth, while not causing any its own iritations, and also provides effortless foam/sweet scent during the shaving experinece. This is the one.

Best shaving cream on the planet! You will not be disappointed.
This is hands down the best shaving cream. I have tried Colonel Konk, Pacific Shaving Co., The Art of Shaving, Gillette Foamy, Edge Gel, Noxzema, Imperial, King of Shaves and Cremo [ to name a few]. Lathers well with a badger brush. It has a rich feel to it. It smells amazing. Shaves really well. I shave every day with it and it is just amazing. I use a Gillette Sensor3 disposable and Art of Shaving aftershave. I may try other scents from Taylor for variety but will look no further for a brand.

A little morning luxury
A perfect lather and a little luxury every morning. While you can apply by hand, a boar hair brush is the perfect method to spread a generous lather to your shave. Unlike foam in a can this doesn't hide the surface you are trying to shave, clog the razor with excess lather, or waste on superfluous bubbles. The smell is nice and allows for a good shave. The price is a little higher than the store brands but it lasts for months so per shave this is a good investment.

Don't Shave When you are Hungry!!
After using a shaving soap for my first foray into wet shaving with a safety razor, I took a friend's advise and ordered the Almond Shave Cream from TOOBS.Short and to the point, this is great shaving cream. Lather is terrific, glide is superb, and as mentioned, it smells like a glass of Amaretto, or a jar of Maraschino Cherries. When I first got the top open, I wanted to dig into it with a spoon, but all kidding aside, it smells great, leaves a nice hints of almonds behind (the lather is not as strongly scented as the cream in the tub), and gives a great shave.Highly recommended, and worth the few extra dollars for a high-quality shaving product.~syf

Didn't agree with my face
I really wanted to like this product and from the early stages it looked promising. The smell was absolutely beautiful, like somebody was making a bakewell tart in the oven whilst you were shaving. The cream mixed up well in a bowl and built up a thick lather that spread well across my face. Sadly it went downhill from here for me. I am aware that most love this cream so I'm putting it down to a "it's not for everyone" review. Just to clarify I use a daily rotation of a Merkur 37c, Gillette Rocket HD and a Gillette Super Speed Red Tip. I had a similar experience with all three: whilst shaving the lather didn't provide enough glide I seemed to knick myself a bit more regularly and (more worryingly) my face became extremely red for the whole day after using it. I thought that it may have just been my face getting used to a new shaving cream so I persisted with it for 3 weeks, but sadly things did not improve. Even with applying two applications of menthol post shave balm a day (after the shave and in the afternoon), my face stayed red and hot. I am pretty sure that this is due to a reaction that I had with an ingredient in the soap, however as a word of warning I am not sensitive skinned. I know it was the cream as after a week back using my regular shaving cream my face has calmed down and is back to it's natural colour. Try and test this out before purchasing.

having used it for a good couple of months or so (these tubs last absolutely ...
I'm a long-time Taylor's of Old Bond Street user, and my favourites are the classic Sandalwood and Mr Taylor's creams, but I thought I'd try something different this time. Wasn't at all sure how I felt about this product when I first received it, as it was quite heavily scented in comparison to the slightly more understated shaving creams I've had before. However, having used it for a good couple of months or so (these tubs last absolutely ages), I now think that the fragrance is fantastic. Another reviewer mentioned that it was like rubbing warm Bakewell Tart over your face, and it really does have that sublime smell of fresh baking. A great way to start the day. Would definitely buy again!

Traditional shaving with a lovely almond scent!
I'm so pleased that I've returned to a traditional shaving experience: soap & badger brush. It takes marginally longer to shave, but is really worth the effort. This soap is great: it has a fantastic almond scent, lathers really well, and you only need a tiny bit for a shave. OK - this is probably going to cost more on a per shave basis than a tin of foam or gel, but who cares! Treat yourself, you'll be glad you did!

A deliciously scented shave cream
A deliciously scented shave cream. If you like almond cakes or marzipan, you're going to need all of your self-restraint not to attempt to eat it. Aside from the fragrance it's a brilliant performer, and just like the rest of the Taylor of Old Bond Street range of shaving creams, whip it up with a good shaving brush and it will give you an abundance of lather for an excellent, smooth shave. Just don't lick your lips.
