A 10 1/2 inch 27 cms diameter cream and white gilded porcelain plate made in 1954 by Minton for the Turkish Government Embassies around the world. This plate was acquired from the Minton Museum by our Client and still has the museum labels to the reverse including the astonishing price of £225 per plate in 1956. At the time, the average annual salary of a British subject was around £150. The plate is made to the highest Minton standards including exquisite tooling to the rim and to the Turkish Star and Crescent. This plate is offered in excellent quality unused condition with minor surface scratches from storage only. Weighs about 700g.
