I love it works well!

Works well, just wish it was a little longer, so I didn't have to bend to use it. I have a small yard, so it works fine for me.

I've had a lawn care business over 20 years and thought I would give this a try for my lady whippers; this machine is too short even for my employee who is 5'7", she has to lean over to reach the ground with it all the way extended out; it is not balanced and one forearm gets tired before the other. the battery lasts 35", which for a business is not that long. we love our snow joe shovel - best thing we ever bought. so thought we'd try more of their products. I returned it.

***EDIT - finally got replacement string in February 2020 so I lost the entire season (Minnesota). Once I got the string and replaced the spool, the spool cover BROKE and will not clip on. So now I can't use it AGAIN and the spool cover replacement part is "out of stock". So I've gotten to use this thing a grand total of 6 times in two years.**EDIT - the string for this device is STILL out of stock! Haven't been able to use it since July and they just told me it won't be back in stock until November now!I bought this for my myself and my son. We aren't interested in gas/oil and have a smallish yard to cleanup. We can get the whole back yard trimmed up at least twice on the same charge. It's clearly not meant to cut through thick swaths of heavy weeds so if that's what you want, look elsewhere. This is for grass trimming and edging maintenance and it works great for that. One pretty major issue though - the replacement line is EXTREMELY hard to get. Sun Joe has been out of stock for quite a while as is everywhere else. I haven't been able to use the trimmer for over a month and they won't have any new stock for another 30+ days!

There are pros & cons to this product. I have yet to need to change/replace line but given other reviews perhaps I ahould look into purchasing some when I see it. I've had no issues with the charger although I agree the design is a bit strange and ahould be more like their larger products but I can deal with this. I can't speak to comparison of power but for me ia adequate. My gripe is: 1) you must maintain the grip to keep it "on" so to speak & as a carpal tunnel surgery pt & someone with arthritis this can be challenging; 2) because of #1 I must constantly stop to give my hand a break; and 3) the trimmer head while it does adjust it would be nice for it to adjust parallel to the ground for use as edger or close to home.

I used the trimmer for the first time today. I like it being lightweight. Trimmed cleanly. Only moderate power so had to walk a bit slower. No where as powerful as my old gas trimmer. But, no gas, no pull cord either. Will work fine for my small front yard. A good value.
