Stop looking and buy it!
I have one of the original Deboot vacuums which was basic and worked for years. Very simple, and zero frills. It ate batteries like popcorn. When researching for the "highest rated" vacuum (what a pain) it seemed like most are including the mop feature now, which I do not want. I found the Roborock Q5 Max+ and it had the features that I was interested in. My house is roughly 2990 sq ft. The floors are wood, tile, with area rugs. Everything is on the same level with the exception of the utility room which is one step down. I'm 61 and by no means a computer genius. The app was straight forward. I do believe that the menus could be designed a bit better with regard to finding features without digging deeper. Perhaps more icons on one screen. I would like to understand a bit better how to add a room after the initial mapping. Mapping is simple and fast, but next time I would let it map the entire house and not leave any room out like I did the first time. The mapping system is awesome and the memory is precise. I initially frowned at the auto empty function but love it! It works well and is the only thing that is loud on the system. It sounds like a shop vac when emptying. The vacuum does a great job picking up dirt and animal hair. I have a 70 lb dog and a indoor/outdoor cat. We watch our granddaughter about 30 hours a week and she's at the crawling stage. After running the vacuum there is no hair on her outfits after crawling around all day. As mentioned above our utility room is a step down. I ended up creating a separate map called utility room and I set the vacuum in the utility room and let it map the room. I switch to that map, set it in the room and then start it. When it finishes I pick it up and carry it back to the dock. It takes about 30 seconds to locate itself when I first put it in the utility room. We have an Echo Show 8 2nd addition (Alexa) and I tried out the Roborock widget. It pretty much didn't work for me with the exception of being able to give the vacuum a command to start which would then vacuum the entire house. Instructing it to vacuum a specific room was a crap shoot. sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Too much frustration for me. The juice wasn't worth the squeeze. We also have the newest version of the Echo show 8 that I may try the widget on. I walked by it the other day and the Roborock app was displayed on the from of it. I set up the app on my Ipad. It works great and I can see the maps really well. It works on my Galaxy phone too, but the screen is small. I highly recommend the Roborock. I believe in quality and I feel like I've gotten what I paid for. It's been recommended to my family and friends, and I would buy another in a minute. This baby gets an old guy rating of 9 out of 10.

Great & Affordable
I have 3 kids and a dog and a sandy backyard, so I need to vacuum all the time. This makes it so much easier because I can set it to run while we are all outside or out of the house. The app interface is easy to use and I can edit the map easily and select zones, rooms, or a whole house clean. It is a bit loud but its a vacuum so that's just kind of how it is. Self cleaning works great. I rarely have issues with it getting stuck. We have a 2100sqft house and it needs to charge in the middle of a full clean which takes a while but it is doing a very thorough job. I like that I can set routines like after meals to clean under the table. Bonus points for satisfying vacuum lines. very affordable for the quality of machine. durable enough to stand up to the constant sand and hair it picks up. easy to clean too, the rollers pop right out to untangle hair so no scissors needed.

It's pretty great!
I purchased the Roborock Q5+ Robot Vacuum with Self-Empty Dock, and it has truly exceeded all my expectations. As someone with a busy schedule and pets that shed constantly, I was looking for a robot vacuum that could handle daily messes without requiring constant attention—and this one delivers in every way. The 2700Pa suction power is incredible; it effortlessly picks up pet hair, dust, and debris from both my carpets and hardwood floors, leaving everything spotless. What really impressed me is the LiDAR navigation system—it maps my home with such precision that it never misses a spot and skillfully avoids furniture and obstacles. The self-emptying dock is a game-changer; with its 2.5L dust bag, I haven’t had to worry about emptying it for weeks, which is a huge time-saver. Setting it up was a breeze, and the app is super intuitive. I can schedule cleanings, set no-go zones, and even monitor maintenance with just a few taps. Plus, it integrates seamlessly with Alexa, so I can start a cleaning session with a simple voice command. Despite its power, it runs surprisingly quietly, which means I can have it clean while I’m working or relaxing without any disruption. The 180-minute runtime is more than enough to cover my entire home, and I’ve never had to worry about it dying mid-clean. Overall, the Roborock Q5+ has made my life so much easier, and I can’t imagine going back to a regular vacuum. It’s reliable, efficient, and offers fantastic value for the price.

Pretty good value if gotten for the right price.
Works good. Initial setup is a bit off, and the troubleshooting for it isn't great. But once its connected and the app is running the thing works pretty well. I have mostly flat vinyl floors with one rug. It could do better in corners and edges. And it does have a tendency to leave edges of the rug turned up a little in spots where I dont have stickers holding the rug down. But it gets up the little bits of dirt pretty well so I only have to mop once in a while. After the initial pain of setup, the app is pretty good too as you can adjust the cleaning areas after it automaps, rename rooms, block off areas, and set a schedule for cleaning. All without needing beacons. This is especially helpful to block off places where you have cords, as this thing will try to vacuum up cords and get stuck. I got this as a refurb unit from the manufacturer through Amazon for $199 and think its very good value at that price. Especially since Im lazy and hate cleaning.
