Good fly swat with unfortunate manufacturing flaw (easily rectified.)
A well-made fly swat using metal instead of plastic that is not stiff enough in the handle and has insufficient sectional density in the blade. The manufacturing flaw is that no stiffener is fitted to prevent the blade flexing excessively and repeatedly along the point where the folded-over part of the wire blade forms a line of flexure that will eventually cause failure. The small triangular piece of card that carries the legend, "Combrichon" should be of stiffer material and project 3/4" to 1" beyond the flexure line. The fix is easy: cut a piece of thin cardboard (a postcard is about right) to the required shape, unpick the staples, insert the piece of card and replace the staples (with new ones is easiest!) The best fly swat I have is a Laidlaw Universal, made in Mexico and bought on holiday in Texas about 20 years ago but it is getting a bit tired now.
