Put these in my bed about halfway down from the lip. Front, middle, back, and middle center of the front of the bed. You'll need 2 packs of 4 as this gives you 7 points. That, plus the 4 OEM tie-downs low in the bed, and 4 flush-mounts in the stake pockets, means you can secure any size of item from multiple angles for best holding an immobilization.No, they don't rattle as you drive down the road.45 days in, no signs of rust. I used #14 x 1" screws, drilled a pilot hole in the bed.

My only gripe is that the ring fits so loosely in the clamp that the things rattle so loudly I can hear them inside my truck! So I removed them all again, stuck a small piece of sticky-back 1/4" thick foam weatherseal strip behind where the ring passes through the clamp, re-installed them, and we're good to go. And they won't rust. For the price, I'm happy, and I should have caught the rattle thing before I installed them.

I attached these to the bunks of my boat's trailer in order to have a point where I could quickly connect tie downs to the transom. They are very good quality and are extremely heavy duty. I simply attached them with two 2" self tapping stainless screws and when "tested," they're not going anywhere..... Great product at a fraction of the cost of my local marine "super store."

These D ring where what I was looking for to complete a project. I bought some stainless steel screws at Lowes to install them with. Worked great. Would buy again!

Great little tie downs. My trailer had 4 of these that were old and in carbon steel which were OK, but they have left a big rust mark. Using Stainless... problem solved...

Cannot rate it 5 star only because I have not tried 2,500lb.

These D-rings are reasonably well made. I am using them as mounting points to tie some equipment to my kayak so I don't know about the weight capacity but they work perfectly. Just the right size for attaching hooks and carabiners.

Physical size and bolt recommendations would be helpful along with the pound Rating.
