Great beans
Great beans. Cook according to directions then cool, to concoct terrific (and healthy) summer salads. Cooking time will vary by package and amount used. For 4 servings, start with 20 minutes and adjust to taste

VERY DISSAPOINTED !
VERY DISSAPOINTED! I just don't understand the positive reviews??? I must have somehow gotten a bad batch. I soaked these beans overnight, and they did not expand at all. I then cooked them exactly as stated, and they were as hard is little stone pebbles. According to Ranch Gordo "It holds its shape through lots of cooking yet retains its famous creamy interior." The interior of the bean never softened, or developed that Rancho "creamy texture." Certainly not any better than the standard black beans from the grocery store, in fact seemed somewhat worse.The exparation date on the package was 2018, so I guess these were pretty old as according to the Rancho website the beans are only good for 2 years.
