I am amazed! This dinner set is worth every penny!We recently moved to a new city, ceramic dinner set was just so expensive at every store I went to. Even the Market 99 had a ceramic bowl for Rs 275. This is a must buy! All the essential for under 1000/- Very posh, elegant and so much better than plastic plates.Contents - 4 big plate, 4 small plates, 4 mugs, 4 cereal bowls.This is an unboxing review. I might update if it breaks sooner or doesn't last in the microwave. If it does, you won't see any further comments!

Although amazon basics is not a buy to regret, this product is a bit hyped.All the plates are not symmetrical. That can be overlooked - however it's made in China.Buying this in India, I personally felt bad since Amazon could have sourced these locally quite easily.Plus buying this from the corner chinese store would have saved me quite some Rs. easily - so that's a let down.But for clayware it's tolerable, and they can be used in the microwave. Also they give a sturdy feel, but are very breakable.Good to look at. They're heavy though.

Plates are heavy and good. What I really liked is the simplicity and yet they are beautiful. Serving bowls 🥣 are deep and good.Porcelain quality is also good. Very nice for daily use.Earlier I had ordered and delivery boy damaged it and I had to return it. This time, the packaging 📦 was also good.

The set is carefully packaged. I received it undamaged. The plates, bowls, mugs are solid, heavy with a retro look & feel rather than designer! I like this simple, elegant and minimalist designs. Tested in microwave. Food heats up properly without heating the plates, bowls, mugs. Pricey stuff. You could get less pricey and light weight but equally effective sets in Star Bazar, and in this days of slowdown, you would get them in almost 50% discounts.

I had purchased this dinner for daily use, and I regret not doing some more research before buying it. Dont rush in for "lightning deals" to save a few rupees, see if the product suits your requirements! It looks decent enough (though The Hubby says they look like hospital plates!!), but I have the followingreservations -1. In spite of the description on the website ("lightweight") - it's really really heavy. So if you have senior citizens or children in the house who will be heating up their meals in the microwave (yes, it's microwave safe), and then taking it to the kitchen sink for washing - think again. It might be too heavy for them.2. We Indians are used to small vegetable bowls, "katoris" for our daal, vegetables and other gravy based items. The 4 bowls provided are ENORMOUS! I measured their capacity in a measuring cup...each holds 700ml ! I enclose a photo of the bowl, next to a normal soup bowl..you can judge for yourself how big it is! We are currently using them as serving bowls..it holds enough for two.3. Why are mugs provided? They are out of place in a dinner set. Each mug holds about 325ml. The Hubby is using the mug in the morning for his coffee, with a mismatched plate!4. Maybe because the plates are so heavy, two quarter plates have already been chipped while washing. My last dinner set, which was La Opala did not chip even after years of use!5. Lastly, the dinner plates are quite large..10.6 inches diameter. If you are trying to loose weight, expert advice is to use smaller dinner plates..of about 9 inches in diameter.As a result of buying this set, we now have a mismatched medley of plates, katoris, serving bowls and glasses.I will not be so quick to purchase next time. I have my checklist ready this time round!!

Good piece if you like classic Victorian style.Regarding size the plates and quarter plates are normal in size, the bowls are insanely big for an Indian household. It looks much like those Chinese noodle bowls displayed in movies. The cups on the other hands are smaller in size than expectation. I was expecting it to be somewhat like a coffee mug. These are however more like tea cups.Overall it's fine.Larah by Borosil is an alternate.

Great product by Amazon, the finish is excellent, not very dull and not very shiny like cheap plates. A great gift, only thing Amazon should ads is soup spoons, the coffee mugs are pretty decent looking. Overall nothing fancy like high end dinnerware sets but ones the job of everyday wear and tear use.

Exactly what i expected... unlike other dinner sets which come in plastic or glass, this is a ceramic material and quite strong, durable, heat resistant and microwave safe.. i dropped it while cleaning a few times, but it didn't break.. the coffee mugs, bowls and plates make a complete set... i am very happy with the products i am receiving from amazon basics sold under Solimo brand..
