Excellent.
Bought as a gift for a friend. He likes a good whisky and delighted with this one. Delivery was very good and very well packed against any mishaps on journey.

Not so peaty as expected
Still peatier than most and with lots of other flavours. Surprisingly mellow for a drink with such high alcohol content

Really good whiskey
One of the best smoked whiskeys I've tried so far. Might need a bit of water if you feel it's heavily smoked and want to make it smoother.

Bloody lovely, bloody expensive
This is without doubt a stunning whisky, but for the money you can get so much more. For far less you can get so much better - head for an Ardbeg Ugedail for example and save yourself £60.

Good, but too expensive for what it is.
Here's the thing, the elephant in the room is the price. There's no getting away from it, this is expensive for what it is. No doubting the quality and provenance, it's a very good dram! For a whiskey that's well into the 100s in ppm phenol rating, it wasn't as peaty on the nose as I was expecting. The taste is strong and long, as you'd expect for a spirit that s 59% proof. All that said , the peat was underwhelming,. For me Ardbeg, Lagavulin and Laphroaig all have better peatiness for much less money. Indeed, Bruchladdich's own Port Charlot heavily peated has more peat on the nose than this.In terms of overall impression, reminiscent of Ardbeg's stupendous Corryvreckan. Maybe not as 'oily' due to lack of aging, nonetheless the Ardbeg can be had for (c) £65 which is arguably a better whiskey and a considerable saving on this. Will enjoy sparingly and in special occasions all the same, but will probably not repurchase.

Sublime, potente, senza tante parole Va provato.Se sono stata utile clicca qui sotto ✌🏼
