Fish Florida Saltwater

Well written and organized handbook for anyone who wants to learn about gulf coast fishing. Detailed species guides, bait and rigging guides, plus coastal maps showing where to go for success are unique. I started reading Field and Stream 50 years ago and this is best material I've seen on saltwater or fresh.

He's become obsessed with saltwater fishing since he moved to Florida. While I've lived here for 13 years and I love to fish, I'm not obsessed and didn't know the answers to most of his questions. He would get irritated when I told him to Google it (lol) so these are perfect. They haven't left his bedside table. I'm sure I need to get protective stuff cos I know he's gonna take them fishing.

Lots of helpful information on getting started. I would also recommend Saltwater Fishing by Robert Anderson with additional information on trolling, surf fishing, boat fishing, tidal action and tackle differences and application. For fish identification Florida Fishes by Rube Allyn gives more description and excellent color pictures. For current fishing regulations go to myfwc dot com. The regulations change so often that anything in print is usually out of date.

Got it earlier than expected, Great book!

I will be very honest, I have seen better books about fishing Florida waters (like the ones from Sport Fish of Florida...with some few exceptions). The black and white drawings do not help much in terms of identifying the specie, they are just ok. I would like to see information regarding eatability, but there is none, I read it nevertheless got some hint and tips.

They should be proud of their self very nice book if they have any other one's on the market I would buy it in a heartbeat

I purchased this book for my first salt water fishing experience. It was fantastic. I loved the layout, the information was great--and it was very handy to have on the boat. I highly recommend this boat.

Covers the subject very well. Does not omit fly fishing as some sea fishing books do. Good hints on playing and landing.

Great book with pictures for the novice Florida saltwater fisherman.

Eine unausweichliche Lektüre für Leute die in Florida fischen gehen wollen. Die Illustrationen sind nicht besonders, jedoch die Infos sind sehr detailliert und hilfreich gewesen. Schonmaße, Schonzeiten und Fangtechniken sind genau beschrieben und trotzdem für jemanden mit Schulenglischkenntnissen gut zu verstehen.
