The Jalisco girl dress from Jalisco has a striking design and is actually a skirt and matching blouse. It consists of a very wide skirt with ribbon stripes in the middle that form a star, and more ribbon stripes at the bottom end. The blouse has a high collar, and matching stripes in the sleeves. Handmade by women in the communities near Mexico city. We are working with co-ops of women that work together to make pieces of art using their available time at home to embroider and woven. We support the indigenous families of Mexico empowering them to earn a stable income and providing a window to the world for their products with a fair trade price. Beautiful Dress for our Daughter to wear at our Cinco de Mayo party ! Every year we throw a big Cinco de Mayo party for the neighborhood here in Japan. There is no alcohol of any kind, its a time for us to celebrate Mexican Culture, food, and music. I have about 25 dresses for many of the ladies/young girls to wear for the event. This new dress is wonderful and my daughter will be proudly wearing this, this year.

The material is good, but this was too huge for my 8 year old daughter. Even with the adjustable skirt it fell off of her. The shirt was large in some areas and small in others...
