EXCELLENT Fountain Pen - Worth more that they are asking
This is by far the smoothest fountain pen I've used. The weight is perfect, and it seems to glide across the page. Color me impressed.

Top Two Pens I've ever used
I have been using Fountain Pens since my Grandfather first let me as a kid. I loved my Grandfathers old Fancy Cross Pen. Needless to say nothing has really rivaled that experience since. He would have loved this pen. It is as smooth as a felt tip in writing and does not have the same issues that I have had with the newer cross fountain pens with leaking. I like the fact that I can get bottled ink instead of having to get prefills. Writing is rather effortless and though it has not done anything to improve the chicken scratch that is my handwriting... it does allow me to take notes during meeting better and makes writing more pleasurable. As astehtics go, it is not gaudy and has a nice artistic utilitarian feel. The pen stands with a you dont know it until youve use it and looked at it closely and doesnt beg for attention which is something I greatly enjoy about it.

Great Pen But…..
This is a great pen, very smooth finish , perfect balance not a big fan of the top of the pen that twists so you can refill the cartridge but just makes the pen look weird with the twist stile now rate it at 4 stars because for a pen that’s $139.00 and it doesn’t even bring a few free ink cartridges that’s pretty cheap from the company to not even offer a start cartridges. I had to order a bottle of watermen ink that still has not arrived even though it was supposed to be at my door a two days ago including today. Have not even been able to use the pen due to the ink.

What type of writer will you become
Very comfortable on the fingers and hand ,you will not want to stop writing. And thus the pen is mightier than sword. ( always wanted to say or write that ) . To refill is the sweet part quick but word of caution, yall need to make sure you don't overfill ,you will know when all that ink is all over your hands .No regrets with purchase also makes writing very enjoyable.

Understatement. Quality. Bliss.
When I was younger and still slaving away on the middle/upper rungs of the corporate ladder I owned several high-end and very expensive fountain pens, mostly Montblanc.Nowadays I don't have the need to impress folks or myself, I just want to write, with a pen that looks good, feels good, writes well and gives me joy every time I use it.Guess what: found it.The TAG Submarine has a unique, but beautifully understated design, everything is of solid quality, the weight is just right, and the nib (I chose the fine one) writes better than most that I ever had, including pens costing 10x the price of the TAG.Solid recommendation!!

Very Good Emotional Fountain Pen
As a very high-end fountain pen, it uses good materials such as high-quality brass, PVD finish nib, and bio fibre clip. The submarine horizontal stripes and weight balance make it well-suited to the writing hand, and the feel of the writing is very good based on the Taylor made nib. The above is my personal opinion.

Solid Build, Heavy Weight, Excellent Nib
The TAG Submarine Brass Fountain Pen offers a high quality pen using decent materials at high-end performance. The pen itself is on the heavier side. In the past I have primarily used resin Montblanc or light aluminum Lamy fountain pens, but this one has an all brass construction, and it's certainly evident by the weight and feel. I actually find I prefer the heavier pen, which surprised me a bit. The cap has the typical pen clip, and it screws onto the body, which is great for a fountain pen as it prevents any accidental leaks in a pocket. The box the pen arrives in is nice-enough to be given as a gift, though not overly so as with some other higher-end brands that waste money on packaging raising costs. My model included the medium, gold-colored nib. The listing states that the nib is gold plated, though I don't see any markings besides the "Schmidt Iridium Point". I am accustomed to using fine point fountain pens though have found myself modifying the fine points to let out a bit more ink due to scratchiness. The medium was a pleasant change and I found I liked the amount of ink released with this model. All of my inks are by Noodlers, in particular their bullet-proof line which has a nice "oily" glide when paired with this pen.Filling is easy using the dip-and-twist method. One submerges the nib into an ink well and rotates the top "fin" to suck in ink. I am used to this style of filling with all of my other pens, but was surprised that there is no ink level window at all on the pen. Besides making filling a bit more difficult (you don't really know if there were any bubbles still in the ink well, nor do you know how much ink remains when using the pen. One can simply unscrew the bottom of the pen to expose the interior ink well, and even fill using this method to make the process easier, but in a way this negates the need for the "submarine fin" twisting mechanism.Overall, based on the pen's weight and materials used, it does feel like a higher-end fountain pen. I really liked it's performance and found it on par with some of my "elite" pens such as the Montblanc Meisterstuck. It paired well with my Noodler's ink for a very pleasant writing experience, though I find the medium nib may be a bit too wet for my smaller handwriting resulting in some bleed through on certain papers.Update:After a few months of use, I have discovered that the pen's cap is not well sealed resulting in the nib going dry if not used constantly. This can be tested by blowing into the cap; a well sealed cap won't leak pressure. It sounds as if it's leaking where the pocket clip attaches. This leads to a frustrating exercise of trying to get the pen to write again when you need it most, which is unfortunate for an otherwise great pen.
