Fantastic toy!
We first discovered this toy at a home-educators resources exchange day, and I couldn't get my then 4 year-old son away from the table where Zoob was being displayed. So I decided I would get him a couple of Zoob sets for his 5th birthday (this one and the car designer set) and we're not disappointed! He absolutely loves this toy, as does all the family, all the way up to grand-dad, who is 81! I've had a lot of fun with it too. I really enjoyed building the helicopter model that is shown on one of the booklets that comes with this (it would be a bit hard to build for a 5-year old, but my son has really enjoyed playing with the helicopter and doesn't want to dismantle it). It's a great way to play with my son, without getting bored or feeling I should be doing some housework instead. If finances allow it, I would recommend a Zoob set with wheels, such as Car Designer, to go with this one, as it makes it even more fun and the child (and adults!) can build cars, tractors, robots on wheels, etc. Once built, they can be played with, so you can create your own toys again and again! I can imagine my son building up on the 2 sets we got him and creating more and more complex models as he grows. This is even better than Lego (and we're big fans of Lego!). We highly recommend this set, or other Zoob sets.

very creative
My boys (7&10) love Zoob. They have Knex, Bionicles, Meccano & lego but come back to this again & again. We have bought the giant & medium size mixed boxes. Although it is expensive, the play value has been worth it. (You know how easy it is for kids to play once or twice with something that cost £20)They started by using the 'recipes' but now just make up loads of different stuff. It is quite durable, but sometimes the ends get broken- I think because my children chew (same applies to all the construction toys mentioned!)All in all excellent value for money (buy a small kit if you're not sure..)

great construction toy
My son got this for his 6th birthday. He really likes it and to be honest I've had quite a lot of fun too! It csn be fiddly snd doesn't have the same ability to inspire imaginative play as Lego. A few pieces have cracked but it is quick to put together and less likely to get lost than knex/lego etc. I'm looking forward to finding out what the wheels (from a different set) are like as I think he will like making cars more than shapes

Fantastic
ZOOBS are FANTASTIC, we purchased this set and a couple of the sets with wheels for our 6 year old son for christmas. He loves them. He has got some of the other building kits from lego to bionicles but enjoys playing with these the most. He makes some of the things in the leaflets as there are many ideas but also enjoys making loads of his own creations. We have just ordered the 500 kit as its on sale so its going away for christmas. Bright toy with loads of playability, very strong and just the thing to keep hands and minds busy for hours. Get a couple of kits and see how you go then get more as they are great for a group to play with as they share ideas too. Great for schools.

Great imaginative toy
We were given a smaller set of Zoobs a couple of years ago and thought they were great but as my daughter grew older the limitations of a small set were more apparent so we wanted more! The first thing she made with this was the bike which even has wheels that turn - one of the many bears now rides it. The other bonus of having lots of Zoob bits is that you don't have to destroy something to build another. Good cooperative play thing as different folk can do different bits of the construction or count out pieces so something I could see siblings working on together. Some connections are difficult to make so a five year old would need a helper. Upper age limit? Granddad likes it too.

Excellent toy and great instructions
Very glad that I bought this for my children - my 8 and 6 year olds love it. For smaller children it is a bit too hard to use - hard to click but that ties in with the current age guidance anyway.Great for using the imagination as well. So many ways to play it and a good box as well.

Zoobee mad not to!
We bought this for our two year old grandson (Yes - TWO!) for his third birthday next week. They really are ideal for very young children through to adults. We discovered them in a holiday cottage we stayed in. They are an excellent alternative to Lego; The parts are very hard to lose too! I can't believe that more people haven't discovered these. Buy the big tub so that you have lots of bits to start with (and a tough and easily storable box to tidy them into) and just add extra bits if you find you want/need to. I don't recommend anything lightly, but these are excellent.

When you pay a lot of money for something the least I would expect is to get the product in perfect condition.
Quite pricey for what they are. The box arrived cracked on one side which was extremely disappointing especially given how much I paid for it. However it should provide plenty of entertainment for the kids. When you pay a lot of money for something the least I would expect is to get the product in perfect condition.

My granddaughter already has a large bucket of the Zoob toys, and needed more to build characters.
The Zoob toys are very expensive, however they allow your child to be creative. I highly recommend these toys.

Perfect for preschoolers
This was a bday gift for my 4 year old, and she loves it! Very inviting, open-ended. It holds her attention even longer than megablocks. My main concerns before purchasing this toy were the ease of use for my four-year-old, and any potential choking hazard for my one-year-old.Ease of use: a challenge for a preschooler’s hands to snap together, but not impossible. Good fine motor practice! Would be an awesome gift for ages 4+ in my opinion.Choking hazard: I attached a picture of how a piece looks inside a choking hazard test tube. It’s technically safe, bc it’s too long to completely fit inside, but I probably wouldn’t let my one year old play with these pieces completely unsupervised. That being said, it’s a really nice option for a household with all ages. It’s so hard to find toys like this that aren’t a safety issue for younger siblings!I think this toy will be a favorite of my kids for years. Very cool concept. Glad I got the big set, it seems worth the investment!
