It is such a joy to have a well-made compass which is really precise and stays at exactly the distance it's set at. When I keep the lead sharpened (rubbing it lightly along a piece of fine sandpaper periodically while I'm drawing), the marks go where they're meant to within a fraction of a millimeter.It's important for me because I use a compass to create mandalas and other precision artwork where I'm not just drawing one or two circles, I'm drawing dozens of circles which need to be all *exactly* the same size, and since each new circle is based on a previous one, there's a lot of opportunity for tiny margins of error to multiply into very visible errors. With a lower quality compass, by the time I'm three or four circles out, none of the points that should be meeting are meeting anymore. With this compass, they meet every time. It's a huge relief, making design work infinitely less frustrating. There's nothing like having the right tool for the job.

Ordered the first compass and it came with 2 pieces of lead instead of one needle. Wrote the seller and they immediately shipped out a corrected item. Received a new one 2 days later. I use this compass for drawing concentric circles for mandalas. It is easy to use and my circles come out perfect every time. The only problem I had with it, is the lead kept falling out as I used it. The seller was very helpful so now it works perfectly.

The best thing that I like about this compass that it stays where you set it and it is of great quality. It's sturdy and easy to use. You can't go wrong when you buy this item.

Was using this cut some trim pieces around a couple of pipes. Traces perfect circles and the price was nice too .

I like that I can move the point to shorten for my child to use more safely. Good, solid construction.
