great little thermometer
This thermometer is very cute looking, and easy to use.My overall 5 star rating is because it is really very cute, it appears to be well made, it does its job, and its very easy to use. Simple button push to change between F and C, and another button to turn it on (or it turns on automatically when in water), and you can even change what the high temp alarm is ( between 99-100 ºF).This is the first time I've done a review where Amazon asked me to rate additional factors, like "how fun is this toy?" I put 5 stars because while it's not a toy, its definitely fun. As for educational value... well these ratings don't suit the item.Despite the other ratings, the product is great. I think it's an easy 5 stars.8/14/13 ** EDIT **I still feel like this is a great product, and I would still rate it 5 stars.1) I have also been using this to check air temperature, and it seems to measure VERY closely (occasionally one degree different) to a much more expensive room thermometer that I used to check this against. I don't have anything else to check water temperature, so I can't verify this, but I can't imagine it would be different.2) I have found one item worth mentioning: you should try to avoid submerging this thermometer completely in water. While I didn't do it on purpose, I regularly let it float under the stream of water filling the tub which pushes it underwater. The thermometer part in the center is actually just a press-fit into the plastic alligator/crocodile part on the outside. In the inside of the alligator part is a small hole, which will let water in if submerged (I imagine the water pressure becomes high enough to break the press-fit seal between the thermometer and the alligator). It's not a huge deal, but it is hard to get the water out (and doesn't really evaporate out well, being such a small hole), and it will cause the thermometer to float unevenly due to the water that's inside of it. I believe that just floating on the top of the water, it would never get any in there.I think if you're pro-active, a dab of 100% silicone would prevent this from ever being a problem (100% silicone should be baby safe once it's dried).

Nice Bath Thermometer - first one broke, but manufacturer warranty is legit
Update: Excellent manufacturer warranty. The first one we got broke a few months after we got it (see below), but the seller said we could contact the manufacturer and they would help us with a replacement.__________________________Previous Review:Great while it worked, but broke after about 4 monthsIt's a nice bath thermometer. Really liked the auto turn on feature when you drop it in the water so it made for really easy use. Baby liked playing with it. However, unfortunately, it stopped working and the display starting going on the fritz after about 4 months of daily use. Doesn't seem to be battery related since changing it out didn't fix it. It's too bad that it's not very durable, otherwise I would have rated it 5 stars.

Bath Time Essential!
We were gifted our first duck at our baby shower. Used it for about 17 months before it looked like the battery was getting low (screen started getting dark and was hit or miss when it would turn on). Just purchased our second and love it. Nice way to make sure bath time is safe and comfortable for your little one!

Good but could be better
I like this. Baby likes it. Two downside however. 1 is it randomly turns on/off. Like it turns on to water AND air temp. It drains the battery so much so that it suddenly turns off in the middle of use and takes a bit to turn back on. There is no on/off button. 2 the red light blinks if too hot and blinks green if too cold. Very pointless. Doesn't blink at all if you are in good range ( which is annoying when you know it's capable of battery dying and powering off so you have to grab it and read temp anyway instead of relying on the blinky lights). Would be better if blinked green when in good range. Like I said, good but could be better

Very easy to use and cute too
The temperature is displayed almost immediately. Nothing more you have to do other than just put the ducky in the water. It shuts itself down a little after it's taken out of the water. Doesn't get more complicated than that. I got it to make sure that the bath temperature is comfortable for my yorkie as it needs to be 70-80F. What might feel just right for me might be too hot so this gives me piece of mind that I am getting the water temp right every time.

Long lasting and accurate
I have used this little guy for 4 years. He tells us the exact water temp, and flashes red if the temp is 100 or higher. Just soak the bottom in a bleach mix every now and then to keep mold free, like all of your other bath toys.

Rub-a-Dub-Duck: Quacking the Secret to Safe Suds
The media could not be loaded. 🦆 Diving into SafetyBath time is for giggles and splashes, not worries. Enter the Dreambaby Duck Bath and Room Thermometer – more than just a toy, it’s a guardian against unsafe bath temperatures. Sure, I'm aware the video angle isn't my most flattering – I'm not here for a beauty review or a pageant. It's all about the duck and ensuring a safe, comfy bath for your little one.🚿 Red Light, Bath RightThe star of the show? A nifty little warning system. Too-hot water triggers a red light and a clear digital readout. In my demonstration, the light stopped flashing once the water cooled to a safe 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit. Simple yet effective, it takes the guesswork out of bath time.🛁 Duck, Ducks, and More FunThis thermometer isn't just a safety tool; it's super cute. Adding to the fun, Cirilla's stuffed animal made a surprise splash during my review, proving that bath time can be both safe and amusing. Yet, amidst the laughter, our ducky friend stayed on course, diligently monitoring the water temperature.🌡️ Final ThoughtsThe Dreambaby Bath and Room Thermometer isn't just about peace of mind; it's a perfect blend of safety, accuracy, and entertainment. Whether it's ensuring a safe bath temperature or being a charming bath-time companion, this duck is a game-changer!
