I mean it works, it's easy to install & it's $20, soooo....But... If you watch the video on appliancepartspros.com you'll see theirs (which costs significantly more) comes with a shield to protect this pump from water spraying out when the upper & lower bearings/seals start to leak. In the video you'll notice the one the guy is installing the pump on has started leaking - notice the nasty brown leak coming from the center. That stuff sprays/get slung everywhere. That shield helps to protect your pump. The other thing is that my old pump that gave out, the one I'm holding in the pic, has a white plastic cover over the pump's motor/rotor/stator/whatever u want, where this new pump does not - it's exposed.That being said, my machine has new bearings/seals & isn't leaking. The last set lasted 6 years. If I get another 6 years out of the current set & then another 4-6 months out of the pump (or more), I'll be happy.Again, it's $20 & takes 10 minutes to swap out, whaddayouwant?Tip: lay your machine on its front so that your pump(s) are at the top when you're working on them. If u lay your machine on its back, the pumps are down at the floor and harder to work on, plus an amazing amount of water will drain out of the machine that way.So lay your machine on its front face. This was an easy swap out of a dysfunctional drain pump for a Kenmore Elite Oasis washing machine (Model number 110.27086602)--i bought this washing machine in 2006. I had always had issues with drain pump, primarily due to small items of clothes or coins/buttons getting sucked into pump from wash basin resulting in a long train times--pump coil probably failing, which set off error codes and causes machine to "freeze" in its rinse cycle. Recently, my original pump was barely functional. The replacement pump was a perfect fit; and as a bonus, came with the small black hose and pinch clamps set in the right direction. That hose is very difficult to align and clamp into place if the pump is installed first. The total time to replace the pump was approximately 30 min. I have only had this for a few weeks, but after a dozen or so laundry cycles, it is working great. Price point is fantastic.

Works and installs as stated. pump came in fully wrapped in bubble wrap and nothing broken. pump runs well. only gets a little noisy when it runs dry.Will see how long it lasts and then update review

Although it is a direct fit replacement it doesn’t work for long. What happens is the plastic impeller breaks free from the motor shaft and stops pumping water. It happened to the original but it took years. This one only a few months. I’ve disassembled it and trying epoxying the impeller back to the shaft. Time will tell

I am very pleased with this drain pump so far. My washer suddenly stopped working/draining. I did not have a washer for a month, we completely took Maytag Bravos MCT apart, which is not easy. Hoping there was a sock stuck or filter was clogged. Everything was cleaned, put washer back together and it did the same thing. Found this part on Amazon for much cheaper than the maytag website or a parts website. I have only done about 10 loads and actually looking to sell my home but I am satisfied with my purchase, also my dad said it was easy to install.
