Seems to work, but...
This seems to work better than the cheaper "Professional" formula, but my dog doesn't like the taste nearly as well. I could give her the Professional as a treat by itself, but I have to break these pills in halves or quarters and mix them well with her wet food or she'll set them down next to her bowl. It's a very small price to pay for a product that has made a noticeable difference in her mobility. I don't have to lift her butt into the truck anymore! Well, not all the time; I think she's training me.

Seems to have helped and she likes them!
My Cocker Spaniel "blew out" her rear knee. At the same time I was temporarily confining her, lifting her up steps, etc. to allow it to heal I started giving her the Nutra Paws Total Joint Care. That was a little over two years ago. She has had no incidents since. Can I give all of the credit to the Osteo-Pet - no - but I believe it is part of the cure! I drop one tablet in her food each morning, she eats it as if it were almost a treat and that is that.

Taste, apparently, is not good
Both dogs HATE the taste. No idea yet on the efficacy, will update review after the 6 weeks. However, these are hard tablet form. Both dogs hate them and I have to crush them and mix the powder in a bit of canned dog food - then we are good to go. I'll finish these off, but will try another "soft chew" style to see it that goes over better with them.

They have made a believer out of me.
I'm a skeptic who takes nothing on faith. I'm particularly skeptical of homeopathic remedies. It's not that I think such remedies can never work, I just want proof. I am now satisfied from my dog's experience. Jake is an aging jock with arthritis. 9 years of catching Frisbees at the dog park 5 to 7 days a week. Started giving this to him a couple years ago. Liked the reviews and figured it would do no harm and might help. Jake is 12 now and just recovered from a serious gastric ulcer. While treating this ulcer we discontinued the Osteo pills and just forgot to restart them. He moved back to his normal food but was really dragging on walks even more than before the illness more and more each day. Even the dog walker (who has walked him for 10 years) noticed it. It then dawned on me that we had stopped these pills and needed to restart. Well, after four days of being at the recommended dose (3 tablets a day for 65lbs), he is transformed! Running down the hall again, jumping on the bed and this morning leading me on the longer morning walk we had discontinued. I'm really stunned at the transformation. This product has made a believer out of me. If you have an arthritic dog, give these a try; it won't hurt and it might help a great deal.

Very Satisfied - Second order
This is the second time I have ordered this product for our ten year old Maltese. The first time was some time ago after poor Bella began to develop symptoms that looked like arthritis to me. She was having trouble getting up after lying down for a while and could no longer jump up on our bed. She was frequently favoring one of her hind legs on walks and the limp was getting worse and worse. I asked our vet if glucosamine might help. She said there are no guarantees but it might, and strongly recommended getting a product that clearly advertised it contains Hyaluronic Acid. I settled on this product after a search and a set of doggy stairs to make it easier for Bella to get up and down from our bed without jumping. The result was wonderful. Within a week the limping was gone and she no longer has much trouble getting up after napping. The mention of a treat has her scampering across the house to the pantry where we keep them. So of course I reordered to be sure not to run out. As the vet told me, glucosamine might not do the trick for every dog, but it has been near magic for our Bella.

doesn't seem to give any relief
My 11 year old dog has obvious joint pain. I'm writing a review just to let people know that "results may very". For humans, glucosamine may or may not work for joint pain. I'm sure it's the same with dogs. And unfortunately in our case, it's not working. I've read and believe the many positive reviews for this product. But there's no guarantee that it will work in your particular case.

Dogs Love These
We ordered these Glucosamine tablets for our two young 150 pound dogs (Black Russian Terriers). They both eat a high end kibble called Great Life Grain and Potato Free kibble. They both have great hips as rated by OFFA from their X-rays but we wanted to make sure that as they age they stay in as great of health as they currently are. The bottle says greater than 75 pounds gets four tablets twice per day. So, the 180 ct bottle isn't going to last long if you have more than one large dog but that should be pretty obvious. They are about as big around as a dime and about as thick as three nickels stacked together. They break easily and our dogs gobble them down like they are some sort of terrific "guy snack" as we call anything which isn't their regular dinner. Our vet looked at the bottle and said that they were about as good as anything she had seen and gave the go-ahead. The boys love them and we believe this is a pretty good price compared to most similar products. Shipping was fast. We have not noticed any problems yet and they have been on them for a week now. Highly recommend.

Relieves the pain of arthritis
I have a 224 pound english mastiff. Sometimes he gets achy joints, especially in the winter. I'll see him laying down licking the top of his paw. He is also slow moving from the sitting to standing stance. After a trip to the vet and blood work they confirmed arthritis and suggested glucosamine. Instead of buying their expensive brands I tried Osteo pet. After a few days I saw great improvement standing and the licking stopped. I've now been using Osteo pet for several years and haven't noticed any side effects. To get him to take it I usually have to crush it and put it in tuna. My other massif will eat it like it's a treat. He's been talking Osteo-pet for 5 years now off and on. I'm amazed with the quick results and always have some at the house.
