Great product but no straw
Actually, the can is different than the picture, which might explain why there is no straw. Other than that, this stuff worked better than Raid or Hotshot. Unlike the other products which are made for generic pest control, this is a big orange can with a big honking picture of an ant on it. No mistaking this for anything else.Other stuff I've tried killed on contact and kept killing for a couple of days. But, Terro keeps killing for many days, far more effective than other aerosols. There are different types of ants and different types of poisons, so you need to find what is best for your particular problem.I had a nasty infestation problem in the bathroom. The little buggers took over my bathtub for their summer resort after some construction and landscape work drove them into a frenzy. They were building massive colonies and attacking every other day. After the last assault, I was happy to see that all the ants which marched into the bathroom died quickly.I have been working on reducing their numbers as well. Terro also makes liquid bait which they take back to the nest. I've been totally overrun at the start of the season with some fairly aggressive behavior. But, after leaving the liquid bait for them I've seen the huge ant hills collapse outside. Also, unlike other brands, this stuff has no overpowering smell. If you're looking for a spray which kills ants naturally and is not harmful to pets or humans, search for organic flea spray which contains clove oil. Smells great, also kills ants on contact and keeps killing for 1-2 days. After this season, I expect to be an expert ant exterminator.

works good
this help to get rid of trails of ants it is not one the ants will take to the queen if you get these to http://www.amazon.com/Scotts-Company-0464610-Ortho-Defense/dp/B004FHYBIQ and set them in front of where the trail is coming from it can help to get the queen ant you will most likely see a bunch dead ants around them after a few days just be sure to wash your hand after wards and keep pets from playing with the disc/puck shape cans also a good tip i found is if you ants coming out from behind of a loose piece of drywall give it a little pound not hard enough to damage the wall but enough to it give a good bump and more ant will come running out then vacuum them up with a shop vac to get most of them then spray the remanding ones

Effective
We have had a problem with ants invading our kitchen each spring for the past several years. We have tried many products but nothing seemed to work. I heard about this product and thought why not give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised that the majority of the ants were gone the first day and all of the ants were gone by the third day. What is more, it has been several months and they have not come back. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Effective at killing; less effective at solving your ant problem
I think I must have accidentally ordered the wrong product. For some reason I thought I was getting the kind of ant poison that was supposed to kill the entire ant colony -- the kind that ants would mistake for food, and take back with them to their nest, poisoning all of the ants living there, including the queen. But apparently it's not. This is the kind of ant poison that kills on contact. Spray it on ants, and they die almost instantly. (It also works quite well on other insects and on spiders.) The poison also coats whatever surface you spray it on -- and can remain potent for weeks if you don't clean it off -- so that any ants that happen to crawl across that surface will also be poisoned. But not many ants are going to do that, since the scent of the poison seems to repel them. So the end result is that, once you've sprayed this poison in a particular area where you've seen ants, they will avoid that area for a good long while. That's the good news. The bad news is that you haven't really eliminated your ant problem; you've only relocated it. The ants will almost certainly come back; they'll just come back somewhere else. Get rid of the ants you see on the kitchen counter and, a few days later, you'll find them on the kitchen floor. Spray where you see them on the kitchen floor and, before long, you'll start seeing them in the bathroom. Take care of the problem in the bathroom and, within a week, you'll discover them in the pantry. Unless you can somehow find their nest and douse it thoroughly with this spray, I just don't see how this particular type of poison will solve your ant problem. This spray is effective as a "band-aid" solution, to immediately get rid of ants (along with other insects and spiders) where you see them. But if you want a long-term solution to your ant problem, you'll need to use a different type of ant poison. I'm glad I bought this product, because it does help when I need to quickly kill a bunch of creepy-crawlies; but I need to find something that will get rid of these pesky ants once and for all.I should also point out that the can of poison they sent me looks slightly different from the one in the photo above, and did not have a spray tube attachment as advertised here.

Works like a champ!
I am hooked on this product because it works exceptionally well against ants. After having used it several different times indoors, I strongly recommend wearing a mask despite what the whitepaper online reads. I learned that the hard way upon first use when coughing ensued for several hours after spraying prudently. Had no problems since because of wearing a 3M mask only while spraying.
