No scraping!
The stand does not seem sturdy when arrived in pieces. The main concern was when assembling it being painted wood, the past experiences of the paint being "slid off" when sliding the pieces together. Just make sure that precision is done in bright light and on a level flat surface. This was the second display, so I had an idea of what to do. The outcome was nothing amateurish about the assembly, which of course everybody wants.The first picture is of the stand itself. The second is of the sais being displayed onto the stand itself. Never any breaking or deterioration at all! (The sais weighed about five pounds each. Just for perspective.)
