DISCLAIMER:This is NOT a $1000+ full size elliptical machine intended for commercial gyms. It should be judged by its own merits and intended use. It is a home unit intended to fit into a smaller space so some compromises should be expected. There is a stated maximum weight limit of 250 lbs. This unit might be unsuitable for taller individuals due to the shorter stride as a result of its smaller footprint.ASSEMBLY:This trio trainer was fairly easy to assemble if you are somewhat handy and are able to follow directions. I have read some negative reviews and believe that some issues might have been caused by improper assembly techniques* While initially assembling this unit, hardware should not be tightened all the way. The hardware should be tightened enough to hold things together; then alternate tightening until the section is straight and stable.Some squeaks can be caused by crooked assembly and loose screws on the center post. The screws can sometimes loosen during use and need to be tightened carefully (don't over-tighten) so the threads are not stripped. Periodically, bolts and screws should be checked and tightened as needed.After about a year of use, I took apart and cleaned the moving parts on the outside of the unit (not inside the flywheel) . I then sprayed white silicon grease to replace the old grease. It is still going strong and there is no indication of it needing additional lubrication.OPERATION:The unit works smoothly and functions as a 3 way trainer. The computer/display is easy to read and set for various workout programs. However, I found that the heart rate monitor was not accurate or consistent. You are probably better off using an exercise watch to monitor your heart rate.RELIABILITY:My family has been using it for over 4 years and it has proved reliable. A couple of wavy washers broke after a few years (due to wear). These washers are not essential for operation but affect the smoothness and add some noise. I contacted the company and they promptly sent the replacement washers at no charge.FINAL THOUGHTS:If you need a compact machine, this unit is one of the best of the lot. It is heavier than a majority of comparable units, which adds stability and strength. Before purchasing this machine, I checked out other units in person and found them to be cheaply made and unstable.This unit tends to move around a bit when in use, especially on slippery floors. Love this machine! For the price, it is sturdy and well made. Of course it’s not exactly like the thousand dollar machines in the gym but I get just as good of a work out no matter the weather and in my own home! So convenient! I haven’t played around with all of the features yet-it seems to have more than I even need! It took about an hour to assemble and is super quiet. I’ve been using it every day. I use it for the elliptical mostly and alternate cycling. Definitely recommend!

I love my trio trainer. Plus even better is their customer support!! They r so helpful and friendly. I’ve used my machine almost everyday since I purchased. I encountered a few problems after 1 1/2 years and they’ll support was so helpful and they stood behind their machine and sent me a new parts for free!!

The flywheel came assembled, but after we assembled the rest of the machine and got on to give it a try, the arm came away from the flywheel. There was no bolt connecting the two parts. Whoever assembled this at the manufacturer, left out the bolt, but remembered to put a plastic cap over the non-existent bolt.

I like to product, but the squiness is unbearable. The size of the bike is good - not to bit. Easy to go from elliptical to bike mode(s).

I had someone else put it together so can’t review it. But I searched for a couple of months for the right choice and this is just right. I can sit or stand for exercise and it is quite sturdy. I highly recommend !! I am around 125 and 5’5” but it is certainly sturdy enough for much larger frames and weight.

Really had high hopes for this machine, but I'm certain this will begin to have problems very soon. 2nd to 3rd time using it on the elliptical mode, the main stem where the moving handles connect started to squeak considerably. I've tried to lubricate the area of the squeak (removed the screws and applied some WD-40) to get rid of the noise, no luck. It appears to be a bad design issue, since the noise occurs even with the screws removed. Not only does it squeak, but it pops and grinds so loud you can hear it though headphones. The washers on the foot pedal rods have already disintegrated after a month of light use, the right elliptical handle is constantly getting loose (bad threading), and some frame parts came bent and didn't fit properly during installation. My wife and I are not large people nor do we use it often. Yes, it works but I don't know for how much longer. Every time I'm on the machine I'm afraid another problem/noise will occur. Definitely need to have the company customer service number handy since I will inevitably have to call them pretty soon.

I am 77 yrs old and had no problem putting this together. Had issues with the monitor and after contacting customer service a new one was received within 4 days.
