Revlon Color Effects Hair Color, Permanent Platinum Blonde Hair Dye with Nourishing Keratin & Jojoba Seed Oil, Ammonia Free

This was two separate kits to do a platinum and as you can see I turned out with yellow, yikes.Do not buy this product unless you’re ready to have yellow hair or shave your head.

I cannot believe the audacity of this product to say that you will have platinum hair, but they dont give you any type of toner. The bleach did barely anything to my hair, granted I have quite dark brown hair, but still it seems like I was set up to fail. I ended up with orange hair!! I think the only people who can use this are maybe people who already have blonde hair, but I do not recommend and I don't think you will ever achieve platinum with no toner. It's just not gonna happen.

I was dying my hair platinum in order to dye it pink afterwards but, the platinum ended up being completely uneven in color. The roots were platinum then it turned orange and brass and the back to platinum. My scalp has chemical burns on it and theee are scabs over some of the burns. I’ve never had a bad reaction to hair dye before and I’ve even used this brand before for a different color.

Decided to give this a go since quarantine has made it impossible to go get it done professionally. Four/fiveish weeks ago at the start of this shelter in place, I decided to color my hair for the first time by myself in 9 years.. I had under processed my roots with a different, cheap box dye.. and was left with orange, sad roots. Fast forward to today, I finally got around to using this box dye, and it gave me the lift I so desperately needed. I'm so glad I gave this brand a try! My hair is finally looking good, and it was easy and pain free to do myself. The color wasn't anywhere as smelly as other box dyes I've used before. It didn't suffocate me, or irritate my eyes from the fumes. My scalp didn't burn or feel irritated when it was processing. I did have some mild itchiness when it was processing, but I always have that when I get colored. I love the shampoo and conditioner that it came with too, it smells so good! .. And my hair really does feel as soft, strong, and hydrated as it would of after the process like my salon treated hair does. It doesn't feel dry or brittle at all. (Which I've had with other box dye too) I will buy this again so long as the shelter in place lasts to get by. I don't want any other box dye brand.

I do not want to use it as an all over so I can not comment on how it looks. i love this brand and color. doesn't turn hair yellow. its the only brand i trust to do all over color and touch up roots leaving hair all one shade

I have dark brown hair I didn't leave it in the time I was suppose to wash it out. My hair turned into like a light strawberry blonde color very cute. I'll be ordering again for a much lighter color! And leave it in at the amount of time I was suppose by the box.
