Tomo-chan is a Girl! Vol. 2

Absolutely love this.
Such interesting characters. Brings back memories of my school days. I too was in martial arts. Several of them. Most of my friends were girls. I hated that in the younger years, the boys teased & bullied the girls. Teen years, it made me so mad to see my friends cry when some jerk dumped her or spread rumors about her that were unflattering. I miss those days. Still have lots of female friends, & gay male friends. I didn't set out to have it this way. I just like girls & I feel comfortable around gay men. I find them so fascinating. And guys, let me lay down some straight up TRUTH. Most girls LOVE gay men. Befriend a few gay guys, & you will be SURROUNDED by cute women. Seriously. Anyways, kinda got off-topic. I really dig tomboys like Tomo. Jun is more & more starting to show that he has feelings for her. Maybe he hasn't sorted them out. There's hints about him being shy & putting on a facade. Time will tell. Art, decent. Dialogue, good. Characters, believable, likeable, relatable.

Tomo wants a romantic film with Jun. What she's got is a buddy movie.
I was very impressed with the first volume of Tomo-chan is a Girl! and the second volume is just as good. The central conflict continues. To put it in a cinematic language, tomboy Tomo wants a romance with her friend Jun but as far as Jun is concerned, they're the stars of a buddy movie. She does ask Jun out and friends Misuzu and Carol provide fashion advice (of course, they also insist that afterward, Tomo gives them an extensive debriefing). Let's just say that Tomo doesn't quite have dates down. We meet Tomo's parents and my, what interesting dynamics are going on it that household. Another "interesting" relationship gets underway with Misaki and Jun. Tomo-chan is a Girl! might not have the intellectual cleverness of Kaguya-sama but it too is a terrific high school romantic comedy.

Condition is not NEW, but good manga
Manga does not come wrapped in it's typical plastic wrap to protect it from any sort of scuff/damage, etc...This as well as 6 other volumes I bought of the same series are not in perfect new condition, there are pressure line marks from the cardboard boxes, and there are black stain/marks (maybe ink) on the cover art. Everywhere on the cover art there's some sort of scuff or pressure mark or ink stain.*The series itself is a very great series I would rate 4/5, but I have to rate Amazon's Delivery 3/5

pretty good
It's a pretty good manga. Initially I thought the manga was great, but the more I've read other manga over time I've bumped it down a bit to the 'good' category. (3.5 out of 5)Another thing to note is that while the book is listed it at 180 pages, it's actually around 140 pages, and physically smaller than other English manga I've seen.
