About a teaspoon I would say for I usually use 2 pumps in my 12oz I ice frapps.

Can I use this in replace of vanilla when I bake a cake?

Vanilla is usually the spice dissolved in alcohol. This stuff is sugar & water with flavors & preservatives. Not at all.

What is the shelf life on this?

Dear Customer,Hi there is expiration date on each bottle. around 2 year. But if you never open the cap, they probably will never go bad. Thanks
