I would actually rate this about 4.5 stars, but I rounded up for Amazon's rating system. First I'll cover the bad points of it (which aren't really bad).The item feels a bit light. The clamp is very tight and it holds on well, but the item itself feels a bit on the light side. It's not like it's a heavy-duty mechanism. I wouldn't recommending banging it around. For the money though, it's about right. Also, it doesn't come with an adapter for your cigarette lighter. Also, it does mount on your dashboard vent. If you have a cell phone in it, I'd recommend setting your air circulation for the floor and/or the windshield. If hot air is coming from the vent, it could theoretically make your phone overly hot. But I expected as much when I bought it, so it's not a bad thing, it's just that it's the best we have to work with.Now for the good... It works. It works very well. The lower cradle arm very easily drops down from the weight of the phone, pulling in the side arms. They don't grab on tight, they just hold on enough so that the phone doesn't fall out of the cradle. The arms move pretty freely, so the slightest weight on the lower arm brings the side ones inward. As you lift the phone, the arms release it. The mounting mechanism grasps onto the vent VERY tightly. You have to squeeze it with a good hard hand to get it to open. That's actually good because it won't jar loose. The weight of the phone makes it tilt down a bit, depending on your vent, though you can adjust the angle.I had a cheap cigarette lighter USB adapter that I used, but the power from it was a weak 1 Amp. Just very basic. It wouldn't be enough to wirelessly charge your phone while it's in use. I bought an adapter at the drug store that has two sockets: one with the lower 1amp voltage, and another with a higher voltage meant for USB devices that need more juice. I used the more powerful adapter and it charges my phone nicely when it's in the cradle. I drove around using the GPS for about 20 minutes with the phone in the cradle, and I didn't notice the battery level in the phone dropping. It may have dropped a little, but it wasn't more than 1%. Using GPS is very battery-draining. It keeps your screen lit (which requires a lot of power), keeps track of your position, and uses your data plan. Using GPS usually drains my phone quickly, but here I was able to use it without seeing a noticeable drop in battery level (thanks to the more powerful adapter I bought).My normal procedure now when I get in the car is to plug the adapter into the power outlet (cigarette lighter plug, which is right next to where the adapter sits when I'm not using it), and drop the phone into the cradle. In all cases, I leave the phone with more of a charge than when I got in. Even a 15-minute trip in my car will add another 10-15% battery charge.I'm very happy that I can now use the GPS, and use the phone for speakerphone calls, without having to hold the phone. I very much like I don't have to plug and unplug cables into it too!

the product is good for my phone, the wireless charge can help me charge the phone when i have used the navigation, and it has a three type of the charging in one cable, so for one cable, I can do three phones if I liked. So convinience to use

Love this thing. Works right through our cases, which are not super thin. They are TPU and Hard sides. I did not want to use the vent mount, but I found that the ball mount for the Garmin 17mm ball worked perfectly. Pretty much any 17mm ball mount would work. Got four of these and put two in each vehicle. WAY easier than plugging the phone in everytime I get in and a lot neater looking as well.

I received this charger mount few days ago, I have iPhone 8 Plus it looks works well, and easy to use, I put in the middle of the fan, fast charge and stable.i like it , very convenient.

Does not work! It will charge for 4 seconds turn off for about 7 seconds then turn back on 4 seconds etc etc. So turning the screen on and off kills the battery instead of charging it...

I really like this charge ,it holds my phone very well and I no longer have to plug into lightening cords. This one has a swiveling base holder that I thought it does a better job of securing my phone and it is so easy to just grab and go with my phone , rather than placing it squarely in the middle and checking that it is secure.

It's working very well for my iphone 8. I wanted a better solution for charging and using it in my car. Usually I am using a charging cable with my vent mount meaning plugging and unplugging the iphone every time. So when I got this one when I saw it's wireless. The charging works exactly as described. The suction cup adheres very well, putting the iphone close enough to be able to see but not distract me from my driving and not blocking any vents.

works as described. Only flaw if that if your phone case is too thick it may not allow your phone to be cradled by the holder guides. without the case the device works fine.
