My favorite L. Reuteri Yogurt maker!!!
I highly recommend the Ohyama yogurt maker, especially if you're looking to make Dr. William Davis's L. Reuteri yogurt. For U.S. buyers, I suggest using a 120V to 100V step-down transformer to ensure compatibility. This yogurt maker is compact, lightweight, and easy to set up and use immediately. To make L. Reuteri yogurt, simply set the temperature to 38°C and let it run for 36 hours—no need for constant monitoring. Cleanup is a breeze, with no mess or fuss, making it far more convenient than using a sous vide or other bulkier, messier devices. Overall, this yogurt maker is an excellent choice for anyone wanting an easy and efficient way to make yogurt at home.

its nice
After 1 use i do like this machine. gotta say have some cons: 1. need an step down adapter to 100v 2. capacity 3 japanesse language on buttons and all of the info. But it works very well and it's a pretty beautifull design.

Great product for milk cartons that fit.
Good product, great price and fast delivery! Highly recommend this seller!! Unfortunately, I had to return because I had a hard time finding milk cartons in the US to fit this yogurt maker. Of course, it comes with a plastic container to mix, but I wanted the convenience of a throwaway milk container.

Nice for natto making
You can make 250 grams in one shot. I don't use the plastic canister. I use plastic wrap shut and baking sheet.

Be prepared
You will have to take care of a few issues before enjoying this appliance. You will need to purchase a voltage transformer and you will need to translate the labels as this is truly a Japanese product. I used Google image and Google translate. I also was not comfortable using the plastic container included to make yogurt under heat. I ended up purchasing a glass bottle. I dealt with all of this because of the fact that it holds a specific temp for 36 hrs without taking up much space. Ultimately, it made a lovely yogurt and is a lightweight compact device.

Good Entry Model for Natto
I purchased this yogurt maker to make Natto (Japanese fermented soybeans).I was able to make Natto starting with 0.5 lb of dry soybeans so far.Probably it would be hard for this machine to make Natto more than that.If you like to make large scale, you would need to look for other yogurt makers.Since this product is designed for voltage used in Japan (100 V),I use a step-down transformer (120 V => 100 V) just in case.

Love it
Great stuff for making Koji but the container is plastic and smell doesn’t go away after I made garlic Koji.

Temperature control in this model could use improvement.
I initially liked the design and loved making my own experimental yogurt. Since I have some health issues, I am delving into fermented foods. When I tried making a reuteri "yogurt," I failed, so I got a thermometer, and the temperature was fluctuating drastically when I set it to 37 C. Yesterday, I tried making amazake on this one because my Tanica was occupied, and the temperature reached 70°C potentially deactivating the enzymes. Well, you need to be aware that (of course, I am using a Japanese-made step-down converter to 100V).
