my child loves these
At first I questioned the quality, but as I sat and played with my son I began to understand why they are a bit thinner. These aren't meant to be adult tight. The pieces are thin so they can bend and we are able to create more this way. I originally tried to think of REAL tools and fasteners to make something similar but this truly is an amazing option for kids who love to build and create. This is something I bought for my 5 year old, my 9 year old was playing, and I myself even enjoyed. Dad's could easily sit and tinker and bond over building with children as well. There is no doubt in my mind we will be building prototypes for school projects with these. They are fantastic. They also include enough pieces for multiple builds at a time which for my household is great, we like to see how many we can build at a time.

Hours of fun with warning!
The instruction book didn’t work for airplane diagram “A” on the tail piece. Had to modify. My 4 year old son who is very inclined in engineering blocks and the like couldn’t follow the book without help. I helped with a lot of the construction of the plane. BUT free play options are ENDLESS. LOTS of pieces = blessing and probably curse. The nuts and bolts are small- avg marble size/smaller than a dime in diameter. So I wouldn’t recommend for under 4 or a 4 that likes to mouth toys. The plastic pieces are thin but similar to original LEGO quality- they won’t break as easily as a McDonald toy but not as sturdy as a mega block. For $26 a clear storage box would have been nice VS a black paper/fabric drawstring sac. I will get him a tackle box or caboodle with dividers. Our older 6’s and 8yo love it too.

Makes a great gift!
This is a great gift item. It's for ages 6+ because of small parts and reading/coordination required to assemble and needs parents help for smaller kids. I got it as part of a promotion. My toddlers are too small to play with it yet, ages 2.5 and 4 so we gave it to their 6.5 year old cousin.

I think better for 8-9 year olds. Lots of pieces a plus. Create you own design might work.
Bought these for my 4-1/2 year old grandson. They were too difficult for him even though he has the skills of a 5 or 6 year old. He does well with LEGO junior and other building sets with tools. So I tried to make them myself. Directions not good. Tried to make robot. Had to hold 3 pieces together at different angles and bolt them together with a screw and nut which was too challenging for me let alone the younger kids on this age scale. Maybe a very dexterous older kid would do well. I couldn’t get the tools to work either.

Kept them busy!
This is my first time to purchase this building set. I wasn’t too sure what the quality would be, or if my grandkids would be interested In It. Well, it finally arrived, and I can’t say enough about it. The quality is awesome and sturdy for little hands. My grandkids, eight years old and under, were intrigued, and it got them busy for several hours. They were also very proud of their accomplishments! I love how they can make several toys at one time, and not run out of parts. That makes it a winner for me!

Awesome hands on toy
My 6 year old loves toys where he can create things. This was a hit with him because it has a lot of building options. He really liked the drill which is perfect for little hands. Some of the projects he needed help with but for the most part he was able to do most of them alone with little to no help. I like the colorful pieces as well. This would be a great gift for birthday or holidays.

Disappointing
This item looked like a great deal, but my son was not able to assemble anything without a lot of help. The directions for constructing various toys are not very easy for kids to follow. My sons still enjoyed using the drill and attempting to build with the pieces, but they quickly moved on to another toy because they could not successfully build anything on their own. After I built a plane for them, it quickly became loose and fell apart. This was definitely a disappointing purchase. I cannot honestly recommend this to anyone who intends to give it to younger kids.

Lots of pieces to make different things
It isn't as easy as it looks. I bought this thinking it'd be a nice toy to play with my daughter. It actually requires some planning. For instance, we were building the warrior machine and it is easier to build legs and arms separately before putting them together with the body. Also I noticed the diagram showed different color screw than the red ones we got. We were able to figure it out but it was kind of confusing at first glance. Also all parts are neatly packaged in plastic but once you open them, it'd be a pain trying to sort them without a separate container to separate the parts. The experience of building is well worth the money. It's something you can have fun while playing with your kids. The satisfaction of being able to share the fun with your loved one is priceless.
