Excellent!
I just wish it had that Silver Calcium antimicrobial stuff in it. Because of where my wounds are I've actually been trying to get rid of them for over 3 years now. There's a lot of factors involved with that though, and it's a long story. Anyway, there's a certain kind of dressing that works best for me. I just can't afford it long enough to get these things to completely heal. It's funny though. I just can't seem to find what I need all in the same wound dressing that's at or around the same cost as this wound dressing. The main thing is that it needs to NOT have a border on it. And so, the last wound dressing I tried costed just a little more than these, had the Silver Calcium stuff in it, and I THOUGHT it had adhesive on the back of it, but it did not... This wound dressing is a great price, has the sticky backing, but does NOT have the Silver Calcium stuff... That being said, this wound dressing is still the best I've found at this price point.Anyway, if what I was describing sounds like something that YOU really need, and you're willing to pay for quality? Then you want to look for the Mepilex Ag foam dressing with it's Safetac technology, made by Molnlycke. The only thing is,five 4" x 4" foam pads will set you back about $60 usually.

Very useful
I like these as a soft part of an orthotic, and I've reordered. If you decide to cut them into smaller pieces for your particular use, you can certainly do so, but please (1) notice where the pull tabs on the back are, to make them easy to apply, and (2) wipe your floor with a wet cloth when you've finished, so tiny, lost bits of silicone won't make the floor too slippery.

Edge-to-edge pad with mild adhesive
Adhesive -There is no tape/adhesive border on this. The pad covers the entire size of the bandage, and it is entirely covered in a mild silicone adhesive. Will not trigger any allergies to latex or typical adhesives, I've used it over a month with no rash or swelling. The adhesive is good enough to hold the thing in place as long as you DO NOT MOVE that body part. You might need some additional tape on two or more edges to really secure it in place though, especially if it is on a joint or if you'll be putting clothing on over the bandage. But it's at least good enough to hold the bandage in place while you get your other tape ready. Might even hold all day by itself if you are VERY GENTLE about it. Good news is, it will not stick to your wound when it's time to remove the bandage. Peels off easily and painlessly, without putting any stress on the edges of your wound or stitches or whatever.Absorbent pad -The pad is super absorbent. Good for medium to high drainage wounds. High drainage case should change it daily. Medium drainage case maybe every 2-3 days. Really good at drawing moisture, blood, etc. away from the skin and into the pad. But once it gets saturated it's definitely time to change it. It is quite thick, but also very soft, so it feels pretty good against the skin but if you're putting clothing or additional dressing over it then it might seem a bit lumpy around the edges. If you're trying to hide it from the public eyes, wear baggy clothes on top. Can be cut with scissors to fit weird geometry as needed, but works best if you keep it close to the original size/shape.Price -If your condition requires these kinds of bandages for long-term use (as mine does) you're likely not going to be happy with the price. They are quite expensive. But for high drainage wound care, they are SO MUCH BETTER than regular gauze pads or the cheaper less-absorbent pads. Worth paying a little more if you really need this level of fluid absorption; probably not worth it if you have a light-drainage wound. Especially worth it if you have a latex allergy or some kind of reaction to most typical adhesives, since this one hasn't triggered my allergies or rash after a month of use.

These are the only type of wound dressing that works for me
These large foam dressings are the only ones I have seen that stay on my skin reliably underneath my compression stockings and the next day after absorbing all the exudate from the last 24 hours that the wound has produced still peel easily from the skin and wound surface without causing any further damage to the wound itself. I have extremely thin delicate skin on my bad leg and when I get a wound on it I know I am in for months of daily wound cleaning and dressing, these make that so much easier and more effective. The main feature is the silicone surface that applies directly on the wound surface. It is just right to cover the wound, stick to the surrounding area and form a goose protective barrier for the wound and is easily removed without causing damage to the wound surface itself.

Really want to love these
I have a skin condition that causes wounds and requires constant dressing changes, so I have a subscription to these. I really, really want to like these because every other month they get the job done and work perfectly well. But then the next month I always get a product that seems to be different. Already this month I’ve noticed the ones I just received dont stick as well and move around constantly. It's getting really hard to justify the price and subscription when I really never know what I'm going to get.
